''I never fought an opponent that tried to take me down and use his wrestling against me, so i want to have this challenge of facing someone that looks to take me down. I hope he [Carmont] does this, but no one holds me on the ground. I think, in fact, that he's going to mix striking with takedowns to trick me.

I have been training with big peoples, but i'll not be waiting and doing nothing, i'll close the distance and brawl with him. I'll not throw jabs, im gonna look foward, lay my hand on him, i wanna know if he can handle it''

I don't think anybody can LNP him at MW.

Jacare was actually the one that scrambled out from the bottom and got to his feet.

I see Carmont knocking him out. Carmont will pick him apart if comes out trying to brawl

Jacare dominates the entire fight and get a SD loss.

I don't think Kennedy really tried to LNP him. He was super conservative grappling-wise and after the fight even bragged about how he avoided going to the ground with Jacare and how that meant he should've won (even though he clearly lost the standup).

Shields needs to go back to MW to end the Jacare hype train.

I'm just stating what Jacare said is wrong, 'cause Kennedy did in fact take Jacare down himself and attempt to keep him there for the rest of the round.

Absolutely nothing happened from it, and Kennedy deserved to lose that fight no matter how much he bitches about it.

And how does that go against Jacare's statement that 'No One Holds me on the Ground' ? If anything it confirms it.

Jacare should run through Carmont, but something tells me it will be close. Carmont will probably use a lot of cage work and try to make it as boring as possible.

He doesn't LnP but I think Weidman could take him down and be able to land shots while avoiding submissions but I think if/when that fight happens Weidman will keep it standing for most of the fight and work in some takedowns, similar to the Maia fight only not on very short notice with a huge weight cut.

Weidman wasn't scared to take down Maia and he basically lay n' prayed him.

Jacare never said that. TS did.

The quote I was responding to is right in my post and it was a single sentence long. Surely you can take the time to actually read it.

From what I remember he was still looking to pass guard and work submissions, that isn't LnP. LnP is when a guy just sits in guard and lands weak punches, like Fitch or Sonnen have often done.

Weidman vs Maia was basically a guy on extremely short notice that was exhausted but still took Maia down and got the better of the grappling exchanges and striking.
