Ok, seriously, according to Ron Paul (love him or hate him):
“Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) are teaming up with Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) to ram through one of the worst nationwide gun confiscation schemes ever devised.”

This would be a national law similar to what some states have already done as we have slept. Basically, anyone can claim you are a threat and the cops bust in your door and steal all your weapons. You await your day in court from there.

Sound crazy? Well, it is, but since our big orange moron supports this insanity, it will probably be a go even for delusional republicans.

The statement from Trump is old. This is when he was gently chiding republicans for acting out of fear of the NRA. It is no longer in play and has no relevance now.

It was made before NRA lobbyists brought the hammer down on him for his suggestion that they had toadies in the congress, causing Trump, like a scared rabbit, to abandon any public consideration or discussion of gun ownership regulation.

I'm going to have to wait on another source on this. Nothing against Ron Paul but I don't know The Freedom PRoject and alleged legislation is always the sort of things worth ignoring until there's more information out there.
