Not a knock on you or anybody else, but this gif has been posted at least 6 times in this thread already, LOL. I "liked" it the first time. :)

It's the same person posting it every time. he's shit posting it in every thread. I guess the dubs weren't good enough and he wants the ban.

Not financially. If he takes the fight, he gets his show money, he gets a potential win bonus, he gets a potential performance bonus, he gets a pay-per-view cut, he gets a potential undisclosed bonus, he gets 30% of Romero's purse, etc. If he doesn't take the fight, he gets stuck with the training camp costs without reimbursement. This is the reason why fighters rarely refuse to fight when their opponent misses weight.
As much as I want him to fight (I definitely think he should) something tells me he's going to say no.

So is it safe to say early weigh ins are gone? Dana is cutting this shit the first chance he gets now.

I'd say fight. You trained so hard and stayed disciplined. You gotta take it, plus Romero has to be feeling like pure shit. More money and more fame. I'd take it.

Dude, Whittaker is ALREADY the undisputed champ. IF he decides to fight Romero, it's a non-title fight, but he remains champ win, lose or draw. If he refuses to fight Romero, he's still champ. He just doesn't get paid, misses out on a potential performance bonus, pay-per-view bonus, 30% of Romero's purse, etc. This is why fighters almost always still take the fight when their opponent misses weight.

Been a while but I thought Whitaker would still get his show money,

He made weight, the other fighter didn’t. Show money used to mean show up and make weight, gauranteed at least that money Incase something odd happens like your competitors can’t make weight.

Or get Dolly’s thrown at them etc.

Yeah but what if he loses? There’s too much on the line to fight as a champion when your competitors can’t make weight.

They are coming in too big and tried to game the system by not cutting it all or by being too big.

Fuck that, make weight and then fight me

Little different story if you aren’t the champ, you should still take the risk, but not as the champion

And everyone saying it’s only .20lbs, it’s still over , he still missed weight.

How would you feel if the piss came back with just a little bit of roids?

I mean it’s not a lot of roids, just a little bit not gonna make a difference??

Same fuckin thing, do your job, piss clean and make weight.

Amatures.

I can understand where he's coming from, but it would be a career mistake for him. I have a feeling he will accept, but we shall see...

Ya it's the commissions fault<YeahOKJen>
If you're promised an extra 2 hours and the doctor doesn't feel he needs to stop cutting weight, let the man have the 2 hours. Looked like he was gonna make it.

You are taking 1 guys word for it. There is obviously more to the story. First rule is never listen to fight camps. All they spew is shit

He did miss weight, you are given 2 hours after missing weight, which he also missed. You fucking idiot
Lol no man. You don't contractually miss weight untill the final weigh in you dense loser. If he made weight the second time it's not like he gets penalized. He gets cleared to fight because he made the weight. That's how it works. Loser
