i mean look at him, what he is still able to do... nasty knockout against rockhold and that fight against a prime whittaker who is 27 years.

romero with his age of 41 years is still top tier material but with that age everybody will get serious weight cut problems, thats natural. over the age of 30 the body changes. even holloway told that he will not fight at featherweight when he turns 30, because the weight cut will get harder.

So sad for the guy, imagine what he could have done if he wasn't such an old man.

Imagine a 28 year old Yoel, the mw division would be destroyed lol.

Romero is an unusual character.

I think he's more dangerous right now than he's ever been, much slicker with his skillset, despite maybe declining slightly physically.

Yep cheaters are great role models these days

New model implies other people can do this

They can't. Yoel is the top freak of all time when it comes to athleticism in MMA

If he was young enough to have cardio and make weight as well as several years of MMA training the world would be fucked

Probably would have been the original champ champ

Dude is a freak of nature... 99% of the world doesn’t have his genetics

Yeah, lets give Romero's fat ass a "bye" for f*cking up the title fight & telling the casuals once again how f*cked up this sport is when their top athletes going for the title can't be bothered to make weight.

FFS over shoot it. or hire a pro to help you. Geez... Romero lost twice as much money on his failure than he would've if he just hired a nutritionist & he also lost a lot of respect for missing weight again. Fook that commissions strange decision to stop him in the middle of their supplemental 2 hours, but Romero's fat ass should've made weight the first time.

lol @ Romero's fat ass....just because you didn't make weight, doesn't mean you're fat. He's not McKenzie Dern

I agree "in reality" regarding his physical structure.

However, "in reality" you should not be bothering me by explaining that Romero is ripped when his fat ass missed weight yet again.

You recognize that? He doesn't get a "bye" for that. Fook his fat ass.

Yoel lost to Whitaker twice, and soon as 3 times.

If the story he was cut short from agreed on amount of time is triple, the miss,is a big asterisk. 0.2 lbs isn’t as advantage, he did the cut. There needs to be clear cut rules and someone who ultimately makes decision. Have to weigh in by x time at agreed upon weight . If medically called fine but that has to be consistent too. I’m for Bobby all the way but I don’t think this miss is anywhere like the gastelum, Hendricks, Dern, rumble, etc... misses.
He was also short notice replacement at 221.
He shouldn’t drop far. Let gastelum fight Bobby when he’s back and Yoel and jacara rematch, I thought that was a bad call for next shot.

Minus all that experience and development. There are some advantages to being older.

Yeah, for sure the miss was a big asterick... & fook Illinois... but also fook Yoel for not making weight the first time.

A pound in a title fight? Come on man... you lost more than what a nutruitionist would cost. I get human error... but it's obvious from all the fails lately that people are trying to manipulate the weight system by "just barely making it" & then they bulk up to twice their weight by fight night. So if you're playing the system & you don't make it & it fooks up an entire card by reducing a title fight to a regular fight... then f*ck you & the horse you rode in on.

If you're going to play the system then you damn sure better make the fooking weight. The first time!!! Fook the suplemental 2 hours. Get your fat ass to the scale & weigh in correctly the first time.

I just wonder when he's going to pop for PEDs.

41 years old with a body like that and such athletism. I won't be surprised to see him test positive sooner or later.
