In this video I show a great variation for the Baseball Choke when someone blocks your hips and stops you from being able to rotate after you have obtained the grips.

Remember, when you roll it's about collapsing that top elbow and masking sure to keep your elbows close together.

I do not normally advocate giving up top position to give up a choke, but I know plenty of people that would not hesitate to attempt this move and they have good results.

When you choose this move you're making a decision to live and die by this choke!

Credit given to Brock R. for reminding me about this choke!

This is cool. Now that I'm going to start training in the gi, I'll be checking your videos more often. This is a great adaptation to a simple move. Thanks.

Another great tip from the Gerbil! I get stuck there every once in awhile when someone blocks that elbow I'm trying to drop. Nice to know I can roll and tighten all at once.

Have you changed the camera or the lighting. The video quality seems to be a lot better.

    Great technique too.

You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.
    Nice vid!

I love this move haha, its so sneaky. I like to set it up from the bottom with closed guard, then kind of let them push down one knee and pass like its their idea. As soon as they pass to side I roll to the opposite side and it comes on super fast and tight.

Catch all KINDS of people with this. Back in the day I ran through a whole NAGA tourney with ONLY pulling guard and doing this.

    Haha good times.

I don't always go for baseball bat chokes, but when I do, it's from the bottom.

S-grip if you have strong wrists, Gable if you want to be evil and you don't want any friends in your academy.

The Rolling baseball choke catches a lot of training partners off guard. We all learn the traditional setup and when you hit the roll, your opponent thinks they may have daylight to escape. Great video!

    Awesome video. As usual.

Could you do a video on how to counter the knee slide pass from half guard? I have a hard time with defending this.

    Thanks.

Haha nice yeah I actually pulled guard and did this during the pull, letting him pass my guard and the tap came quick. He was so confused lol. I've actually been thinking about using it during an upcoming comp myself until I hurt my back recently.

That was sweet. My favorite choke, by far.
