"I train at Black House. So, probably, me and Anderson will train together. It would be embarrassing. He is the champion, I would face him, if we were in different camps.

Anderson is 38. Nobody knows how many fights he has left. I'm signing with the UFC now, maybe when I have the opportunity to fight for the title, he will be retired. I rather have him as a partner. It's awkward for me to talk about the belt.

I belive in my skills and, well trained, I can beat anyone, doesn't matter who. My goal is to surpass myself as a fighter. My career as a BJJ fighter is amazing, and I'm not done yet, but I'm more focused in MMA because I can be as good, or perhaps even better than I am at BJJ. If i didn't belive that I can beat the best guys in the world, I wouldn't lose my time. I'll repeat my success and represent my family. Whoever is on front of me is an obstruction and I will wreck it."

Don't worry Roger, you probably won't have to worry about that anytime soon.

Well. Will Roger Gracie ever be a top contender? Not likely, so his refusal isn't relevant as he's refusing the impossible.

So he's saying he can beat Silva but bc they train together he will throw him a bone and let him retire on top?

He's even more delusional and out of touch with reality more then he would be after just coming to from a Silva KO if he actually beleives that

LOL. Roger Gracie is not even ranked, why talk about it.
Anderson Silva is onto big fights, not ehr.... looking to fight Roger Gracie as if there's no other opponents on the roster.

On the other hand, Roger Gracie is a jiu jitsu practitioner, but needs to be all rounded to become effective.

I don't even know why that was brought up other than just a simple ploy to get him unwarranted attention. Roger Gracie doesn't even exist in the same universe as Anderson Silva. Anderson Silva is probably about as worried about Roger Gracie fighting him as he would be if one of us was going to challenge him for his title. It means nothing. He probably read this and either

A) thought it was a media ploy and laughed his ass off and thought "well done"
B) just laughed his ass

How did the match play out any of them submissions?

Actually, i just checked again. My mistake, they went 3-2, not 3-1. Only one sub: Roger won the ADCC 2005 (Absolute Division) beating Ronaldo with a RNC.

Ronaldo's both wins were the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship finals.

I can't see the champion material in Roger regardless his BJJ results. Furthermore is over 30 so not so young. When Silva retires (maybe 3-4) he will be 35. He talks like a rookie 23 year old fighter.

It's worth noting, one of Jacare's wins came from a match(mundials I think) where Roger broke Ronaldo's arm, but then proceeded to lose on points.

I think I would lean toward Jacare in an mma match though.

no way Roger fights for the title. Heavy handed strikers with good TDD

You can't quote without reference to the source unless of course you like being labelled a troll.

People talking shit about Roger friggn Gracie for no reason. Unbelievable.

The guy is pretty much just starting out and already looks pretty damn deadly. Especially now dropping to 185. His TD's keep getting better and virtually anyone he gets on top of? The fight is over, and it doesn't matter who it is. He's that good on the ground.

I declare it here and now: I won't fight Anderson either! I just have too much respect for the guy!
