Yeah yeah I know, it's sacrilege.

    Just answer the damn question.

    :D

And feel free to add your personal breakdown of the fight if you want, how you think it would go down, and why.

I thought it was a parody of the Karelin topic :icon_chee . But you seem serious, so let's see.

I took Roger both gi and nogi. In the gi Roger would dominate, in nogi I see Brock probably gaining the takedown only to get swept or back taken and then submitted.

I think I agree with this.

I'm definitely more confident in Roger against Brock in a Gi, a lot more ways to choke him.

No-gi, it gets interesting because let's face it, Brock is a gigantic freak athlete.

I'm always in awe of BJJ's lesson that technique overcomes size and strength, but when you run into a guy like Brock, who has so much size and strength, AND he's got some technique himself, it becomes harder to implement.

make slams legal and he would win if you let roger get a RNC in. brock would turn him into a smudge on the ground...
man having him fall on you would hurt your damn ribs so bad lol

in gi roger would collar choke him 10 seconds into the match.

in nogi, roger would triangle him whenever brock decided to take him down.

In gi, Roger by whatever he wants
In No-gi, Roger will take Brock back and it's sleepy time for Brock

Brock has no chance in the gi. He has some chance in nogi.

actually, i sort of see roger grabbing brocks collar and pulling / jumping guard. then grabbing the other collar and choking him out from guard. wrestlers don't necessarily dictate when the fight goes to the ground when they're wearing pajamas.

in nogi, roger would just have to wait for brock to decide when they go to the mat. but when they do, it's as good as done.

gi would be roger all the way, but no gi would be interesting. Brock is basically Kerr 2.0 and Kerr did surprisingly well at submission grappling. Not sure who would win but it would definitely be something I would like to see

Seriously? What is brock's technical level in BJJ? a strong blue to purple at best?

Roger is the best in the world, argueably the finest technique and very strong and big. Brock would get tooled like someone who has never ever grappled before.

We both know what you were implying with your "big bodybuilding type" and technique > strength.

You guys seem to forget how well Monson, Randy, Arona, Kerr and others have done. Don't get me wrong, i know Roger is on another level than all grapplers, but for people to be putting this "10 secs" or "he will kill him" and whatnot is "optimistic" IMO.

NoGi i think Brock does pretty well.

Kerr never face anyone like Roger or that high level grappler
Roger at this moment might be the most dangerous/accomplish grappler in history(yes, even better than Rickson)

If by "pretty well" you mean simply surviving in the guard and offering zero offense aside from take downs then maybe Brock Lesnar would do pretty well.

I took roger in both but I do see brock taking him down in nogi and roger would have a big struggle sweeping brock, pretty sure thats impossible so I would have to take the back from the bottom and sink in a choke or a triangle, I don't think you can armbar a freak like that.
