is this production truck thing real?
like they've got guys who pick questions Rogan has to ask....

it sounds to me like like he's bs'ing. which sucks cuz i like rogan.
im sure there is a team but as a sportcasters, it's your responsibility to pick questions that
make sense.

claiming you can just throw an athlete on another card makes the
sport seem unprofessional and sloppy

Rogan went out of his way to point out it wasn't his question.

His job, partially, is to ask the questions the production truck tells him to ask.

Joe won't be the one getting his ass torn over that stupid question.

The ear piece is all for show.

She has done it before, and she will keep doing it. I know it is less than a month notice, but how many fighters replace fighters on less notice. Rogan got his ass chewed by White in the ring as soon as the interview was done.

why would a producer/assistant want to get fired for a silly joke?

Joe said he was glad he asked.

There is no production truck. Its just the UFC trying to look like they got their shit together. It was Dana telling Joe before he entered the octagon to interview her. Then Lorenzo said NO and Dana had to pretend it wasnt him. Putting all the blame on some truck

The production truck can't come up with all of their questions. They have different styles (the broadcasters).

Anik continually perserveres in continually topping himself in stupid questions he could ask. It usually goes like "let me walk you through the fight... Now walk us through that fight".

Rogan is usually bolder and will attack controversy head on (bad decisions, injuries, bad ref, etc)

The ear piece is not decoration folks. He is getting instructions from the broadcast crew.

this!

I noticed right afterwards when Dana talked to Ronda and then immediately to Rogan Dana seemed pissed off and it looked like he was telling Rogan off a bit. It made me wonder what happened. In fact that is why I just came here to see if there was more to the story.

Why was it even a stupid question? Replace Ronda with Jon Jones, is the question still stupid?

Before the camera could cut away, a visibly angry UFC President Dana White could be seen talking to Rogan, presumbly in anger over the commentator's question. As it turns out, White wasn't upset with Rogan, but the UFC's in-house production team.

"I wasn't upset with Joe Rogan," White said at the post-fight press conference. "I was upset with the truck telling him to tell Ronda that she's going to fight again. That wasn't true. That was some s--t that somebody made up back there.

"It was the biggest idiotic move in the history of our production team."

White declined to speculate on what would happen with Rousey or the entire UFC 176 event, but was adamant that putting Rousey on the uncomfortable hot seat is not something he directed anyone to do.

"I told them right up there that's not true," White said of Rousey and Rogan in the cage. "I don't know where that came from. Nobody told anybody to say that."

Dana had to protect the precious Ronda from being asked a question.

It was a legitimate question IMO. was a tad awkward but he was well within his rights to ask that important and relevant question to the champion who claimed to be able to fight on 24 hours notice or something like that. after it happened right when goldie and rogan started talking after the ronda fight joe looked a tad bit visibly shaken and pushed the conversation straight to weidman
