The only judge who messed up was the middle one who gave rd 1 to Hendricks. GSP clearly won rd 1,5. 3rd rd GSP was piecing Hendricks up on the feet then Hendricks got a late TD and GSP shot back up. That was the closest rd but GSP did more and won the rd. It's pretty simple and boggles my mind that it's such an issue to so many of you.

Watched that fight maybe 5 or 6 times. It all comes down to how you scored round 1? One of the closest rounds ever. Both guys landed strikes, both men got TD's. Basically a 10-10 round. Round 2 Hendricks hurt GSP, so Hendricks wins. Round 3 was GSP best round out-landing Hendricks, GSP wins. Round 4 GSP got tripped and beat up from bottom, not 10-8 but a 10-9 for Hendricks. Round 5 GSP outworked Hendricks landing more and got 2 TD's. So GSP wins round 5. Basically a draw type of fight..

Holy shit, a GOAT thread! Why didnt anyone else think of this? We should remake one of these often so we can add fighters to the discussion and continously debate such a subjective topic!

Seriously though lets take an objective look at the goat debate. By definition there can be only one GOAT but its subjective so there will always be multiple POSSIBLE GOATS. If you want to draw a line in the sand and say one is as a fact, i wont argue with you because its just opinion.

The other aspect is PEDS. Some will say PEDS disqualify any candidate, some say it doesnt matter.
So here are my lists.

In my opinion these are legends.
Whats the difference between a legend a GOAT? Well time is. GOAT means greatest of all time so they cant be goat if they would not be the greatest in any era. Many of these would still be top fighters but for example Gracie was far too one dimensional to compete with todays fighters. Still a legend though.

Most other mentions are just flash in the pan great fighters. Made an impact but not the greatest of all time. (Mcgregor,etc)
