I don't care about the strike or who won, but what I do care about is Rogan feeling like he has to justify it. He compared it to someone taking a head kick and the foot hitting the back of the head lol... Really?

Side of the head. Besides it is hard not to hit the back when your opponent is turning.

He's right though...

it's not remotely the same as punching down at the back of the head.

Hey... it was awkward... not sure why he felt he NEEDED to say that stuff.

How are you supposed to avoid the back of the head when your opponent ducks while you're throwing a punch? Its ridiculous for anyone to say that conors victory is anything less because of it.

Who is saying that? I'm talking about Rogan's need to say something

Needs to be said. Too many idiots online who will claim it was "to the back of the head", should have been DQ'd, blah blah blah.

Take a look at some of the threads right now, if you need proof.

So in order to avoid being punched in the head you could just walk backwards towards your opponent all night right? cause Dustin is the one that lowered his head into the shot not the other way around...

Something tells me nobody would even mention this if Dustin had won in a similar way.

Clean punch. Blame Poirier if you want.

For years I've listened to people downplay Serra's victory over GSP for the same thing, including Rogan. Now Mcgregor does it and he's acting like it didn't happen.

Anyway, it was unintentional so whatever. .
