Can't believe he survived, insane heart

Very cool butterfly sweep at the 4 minute mark. Maybe because I'm just learning butterfly, but I never tried that overhook to cross lapel grip - it looks secure, will have to try it.

It looks like that guy is one of those guys with an "unchokeable" neck.

That overhook is quickly becoming my go-to grip for butterfly, and guard in general. Very powerful.

That brown belt won't be a brown for too much longer. The guy must have steel mesh for the sides of his neck!

Love that sweep with the overhook. Also did the fake guard pull to ankle pick that Gui uses a lot.

Rodolfo looked surprised and disappointed at the same time.

For me Rodolfo is among the very few in jiu jitsu who will always try and push the action. If there is a lull in action its due to the other guy trying to find a way to stall. I would count Buchecha and Gary Tonon as well to that list.

i know there's been alot of Mendes Brothers bashing lately and it's understandable. But this video just makes you realize just how good Raja is when he was faced with the same Rodolfo Monster.

Not the best argument cause they haven't had a match in the gi. Everyone knows that Rodolfo's game is very gi dependent and his game doesn't translate as well in nogi...hence his loss against Lovato despite destroying him 30+ - 0 everytime they have a match in the gi...

I'd love to see Rodolfo vs Rafa in the gi but I highly doubt it would ever happen. I'm willing to bet Rafa would never agree to it.

By coincidence, we worked that move in class tonight. It's a powerful grip, and the sweep can be done just as well with an overhook, with or without that grip.
