Rodolfo Bellato Denies Faking Knockout Against Paul Craig at UFC Atlanta

You talking about the grazing jab that buddy folded and acted clean out in? Even Aleks was chuckling and wondering wtf happened.
If I remember correctly, it was thought that Aleks had Hepatitis or something like that, and his opponent didn't want to risk getting infected blood on him, so there's some method behind the madness there

I dunno...really?? Why not refuse to fight from the start then. IIIRC it was a Swedish wrestler who entered fighting very late in life and then quit fighting early because fighting simply wasn't for him (which is fine)

I didn’t get to see the fight. What were the commentators saying? Were they being diplomatic or calling it for what it seemingly was?
Diplomatic "he´s out!!" kind of thing, i might need to rewatch the most oblivious examples like Luana Pinheiro vs Randa Markos, Sterling vs Yan, Weidman vs Moussasi.

Chris Barnett vs someone had a similar act, he was "done" until he heard the fight would go to the scorecards and he knew he was losing the fight, then was all good to continue.

I counted four seconds from the time Bellatro went "out" to when he starts randomly thrashing his legs then butt-scoots against the cage. I do not think it's possible for someone to be unconscious for only four seconds then wake up fully capable of making immediate free will choices. He couldn't even manage to fake being KOd for even five seconds! If you're going to try and sell yourself to a DQ win at least be counting off the seconds in your head and wait until you get to at least ten before you "miraculously" revive  I'd personally wait 15 seconds just to be on the safe side. And that butt scoot sure was lightning fast for a recently KOd person. I don't think he could've possibly done it any quicker. And then he even GETS UP TO ONE KNEE 15 seconds into the video before realizing that might give away his faking, then suddenly pretends to be "dazed and confused" again <suzylol>
And at least tackle the referee to sell it :p Just holding his shoe isn't enough.

If he wanted to fake it, he could just stay unconsciousness after falling down and not crawling back, looking like he saw God, to the cave and fighting the ref for another 20 seconds. Lol

Man just own it. Aljermain became one of the most hated fighters because he denied it. I think if he owns it, then fans forgive him and he moves forward. The hands up was a dead giveaway.

There's also the risk that Bellato gets the chuck if he admits that. Aljo was a contender, this guy is NOT one of those

I think that risk is less. But you’re right it’s real. But fans don’t forget and when you treat us like idiots by lying it will haunt you.

I imagine he's at the 'in for a penny, in for a pound stage'. He's pot committed to the lie in an industry where looking like a scheming pussy is never going to be let go by the fans

Can't look at the ref right after the foul and throw your arms up then onto the theatrics. He's full of shit and digging a deeper hole.

It really did not look fake to me.

Problem is he had motive to do it.
