Robert Whitaker attacks UFC pay.

Maybe don't pull out of fights and cost the UFC millions of dollars

Actually they lose millions because of the PPV structure. Even viewers are actually too lazy to ask for refunds for short notice main event cancellations, so the UFC doesn't really lose out.

UFC also has sponsorships exclusive to them and a tiny percentage if not none are given to the UFC fighters.

Did they pay his medical insurance?

He's in Australia and not the US so it's a civilised country with universal healthcare the sort of thing you idiots think is socialist.
Shitty pay is a capitalist dream though where the bosses get rich of the back of their employees so Whittaker is living part of the American Dream, it's just a shame the Aussies have strick gun control laws.

Thats amazing news
Now they'll strip him and we'll have Kelvin Vs Palestine for the real belt

The world is not obligated to pay you money to do what you love.

The world is not obligated to do anything, Yet there are a lot of occupations that have fair compensation because they have strived to get them. Why should MMA fighters not strive to get fair compensation?

So why didn't he become an engineer or a medical doctor?

Or go into the NBA or NFL? I heard they pay a lot.
If I had to guess he probably had a proficiency and passion for fighting.

Who is generating more money - the top golfers / football / basketball players? Or cage-fighters?

Now, who is in a stronger bargaining position?

Yes, other athletes are in a better bargaining positions. That's very apparent and nobody is denying that. Why should they not want a better bargaining position? Why should they just accept an unfair position, because they didn't choose a career lane where these things have already been sorted out?

Listen up cocksucker, the fighters are making plenty of money with the UFC.
How much were they making without the UFC? $2k a night? LOL

It’s not an unfair position.
The UFC is paying them plenty given what they’re worth..

This was a couple days before the fight. I'm surprised it went overlooked. Dana can't be happy about this.

"UFC fighters are “sorely underpaid for what we do.”

“It’s just one of those things when UFC has monopolized the whole sport and if you want to make it in the field you have to fight with the UFC,” Whittaker said. “When they’re the only ones that own the sport, they can pay you what they like.”
He should go get a different job . He didnt know the pay when he got into this line of work ?

Nope, they aren't getting fairly compensated from a revenue standpoint and not from a general work related expenses standpoint and not from a hazard pay standpoint.

UFC is making much more than they deserve anyways. A famous Boxing promoter says one time something like.. we gave 70% of the earning to the fighters.. and Dana gives like 20%

It is if the UFC wants to legitimize itself as a real sport, which Dana promotes it as such. Thing is, the UFC is a joke sport and until the base pay catches up to the real sports, and Dana White quits trashing the fans and its employees, then can we start to take this "SPORT" more seriously.
