Significant strikes 128 Whittaker, 111 - Romero
3rd and 5th round cant be 10-8
Just look at the statstics. It was not enough to 10-8. In 3rd Robert had some good elbows and kick to the knee and big head kick and control clinch at the end of the round. How did you score that 10-8? Romero clearly won 10-9, a lot of big shots, but not 10-8. In 5 round Robert also throw some shots.

Look at Romero's face and said that he won fight HAHAHA. Romero just had granite chin but he take so many hard shots.

Robert clearly won 48-47 (128-111 significent strikes for Robert) and if
-Robert didnt break his hand
-Yoel spent more time (and effort) on weightcut like Robert
-Robert didnt have an infection and knee surgery
he would finish Romero easily.


A lot of factors was against Robert and he still was able to win.

Even with broken hand he won 4th round, because Romero was gassed.

Whittaker > Romero

Joel got fucked so bad in this event. First, chance to make weight was cut short, he only missed by .2lb, Im sure he could have made it. I actually agree with you for many reasons.

I dont even think Rogan shouldnt be biased, just do it on fight companion so its funny at the same time at least.

a 10-8 round is determined at the END of the round not in the very moment you see something significant (fight ending)... correct??

In round 3 Romero smashed Whittaker but then emptied alot of gas and took some huge shots himself.. definitely still won the round though.
Same thing round 5.. had a very significant and near fight ending moment.. but then did nothing.. took some shots himself.. had to be seperated by the ref because of inactivity.. how is that domination??

A 10-8 needs to be given to a dominant round not just a dominant moment. Whittaker 1,2,4.

New scoring criteria makes 10-8 scoring a strong round.

A dominant round can be considered 10-7.

But unfortunately not everyone is on the same ship in MMA and judges are still not specifically trained in scoring MMA.

By the definition of damage and dominance Romero should have gotten 10-8.
