I don't think it proves anything. Other than the finish, Rory did more damage to Lawler and people are only talking about Rory not being the same. I don't think Rory before the Lawler fight would have beaten the Wonderboy tonight.

Rory should have done the reverse in my opinion. He threw caution to the wind when he fought Ruthless when he should have fought smart. Then against WB he fights calculated when he should have said &%#$ it and went bloodthirsty.

Dude is definitely at a crossroads in his career because he has very little leverage now when it comes to contest negotiations.

Robby took away Rory's nose. That makes it very hard for Rory to take any shots to the nose because of the increased likely hood that it breaks, and the pain that comes from a broken nose being repeatedly hit.
