I remember all the hype around his Ceasars Palace jump, I was 12 at the time and there was crazy buzz on tv about this upcoming insane daredevil, they did a really great job promoting this thing
Me and my friends were all caught up in the excitement and then when it finally happened it was so anticlimactic, it was just a quick little hop on a dirtbike and it was over, we were like what the fuck that was it?
I think its just one of those things that just didnt translate well to tv, probably looked amazing if you saw it live and in person

I've always thought the mystique of Evel was him doing the jumps on a Harley. There's something wild and an added element of danger seeing that heavy bike fly through the air

A dirt bike doing it just isn't as exciting no matter what the stunt is.

It was probably because of COVID vaccines

That's what we're doing now, right? Or is that only for heart related deaths? Even though
One person dies every 34 seconds in the United States from cardiovascular disease. About 697,000 people in the United States died from heart disease in 2020—that's 1 in every 5 deaths
And the number of non-fatal heart incidents sends it much higher

I thought he was already dead but it must of have been another guy

Of all the things that could kill a dare devil......F'ing cancer.

He was a hardcore alcoholic. He was struggling with type 2 diabetes from drinking. Both most likely led to his pancreatic cancer. I heard him on a radio interview after he got a DUI. He was pretty sloshed and they were trying to do some sort of intervention over the air. It was pretty damn sad.
