That is what I am trying to figure out, seems it was an app that let people vote and help Judge events, also had discussions that went crazy about steroid use. Now Rizin's popularity seems to be in trouble, hoping one of you knows what this is all about. I

"What we are seeing with the RIZIN/Ren Hiramoto controversy is really the fruits of social media companies finally grabbing control of Japanese culture. The country kept Twitter and Youtube influence to a minimum and LINE got big but now Japan is emulating America from years ago."

Apparently Ren Hiramoto was accused of doping.
Dude made a press conference to say he never did any kind of doping.
Thats it.

Do we know who started the allegations and why so many went into protest mode.

Please clue me in on what is Breaking Down
Breaking down is a YouTube fighting show started and ran by the Asakura Brothers, but in particular Mikuru. It consists of one minute fights between usually complete amateur. The show gives background on each of the fighters. Several fighters have moved on from Breaking Down into full-fledged MMA, particularly in the ladies divisions. Think of it as the spiritual successor to The Outsider, which is where the Asura Brothers made their names. Breaking down is absolutely huge in Japan. Each episode gets millions of views. It has also led to some controversy because the participants or some participants on the show have gotten into legal trouble. Breaking down has allowed Mikuru Asakura to become Risin’s most popular fighter.

Is that culture that clueless to not realize that many athletes in many sports utilize or try to utilize PED's??

I don't get what the shock is in that news or why people won't all of sudden watch because of it.

Because Japan is a major land of contrast. Always has been, will get pissed about something but also be perfectly ok with it. They get mad about this, but at the same time absolutely love their steroid monsters like Sapp. Rizin should have just done the Pride thing. Piss in the cup but never talk about it again. Possibly will switch to that again after this.

Yukinori Akazawa on Twitter burning a lot of bridges saying Tristar gym are all on steriods. I am confused gonna have to watch this Youtube video again Charlie Jewett did a timeline.

It is about supporting the accusers, fans clubs getting behind them no matter what the tests show.
