Patricky vs. AJ probably happening in JapanInteresting why Patricky would be going
The last RIZIN and Bellator co. promoted card in Japan on NYE was in a ring.Interesting. Well hopefully it’d be in a ring this time. Not really sure what matchups I’d do.
Yeah. RIZIN seems to get a kick of throwing cards on after UFC PPVs for some reason. I used to stay up to watch them live as I’m a big fan of RIZIN, but it’s rough as they usually have multiple intermissions and they’re long, specially at the time they’re on.So this is going to happen just mere hours after poirier/gaethje and crawford/spence?

pretty much confirmed that aj vs. patricky in japan
I still think what I said in another thread might be true. They are just doing shows to fill contractual obligations. South Dakota has a show every August. The Dublin card was already announced.I guess we need to wait and see the announcement but this is a headscratcher. You put your most popular and best fighter ti fight Japan rather than in a big event in the US?

Bellator will most likely make 2 - 3 times the gate money holding that fight in Japan than they would in the USA. Bellator has had much better audiences in Europe and Japan most likely due to the channels they are broadcasted on actually heavily promote those events whereas Showtime/CBS is non existent.
This seems to be the case. Its just such a shame to out this fight in a RIZIN event, rather than a big event in the US or Brazil. Sucks but it would also explain the lack of cards as of late. Hopefully, the situation gets resolved soon and they begin putting some events by fall/winter.I still think what I said in another thread might be true. They had to do McKee/Pitbull at some point and it appears it will be just be on a Rizin card.
If the press conference is related to the 7/30 card, they won't be having their own event.
