Caldwell had Horiguchi dead to rights with that armlock, Horiguchi just had to bail from the ring. How is that good MMA? The cage "limits mobility?" What mobility, mobility out of the fighting area? It's ridiculous.

For the record give mad props to Gucci. He used the environment and ruleset to his advantage and got a well earned dub. But the JMMA situation is a joke compared to the Unified Rules.

I have no doubt that PRIDE\RIZIN rules are as such more free and superior to unified rules.

Both environments have their specifics, but I never liked usage of wire fence as a weapon for wrestlers to lean their entire body weight, pinn fighters so they can`t move and wall n stall, and grind opponents. Fence prevents squating and throwing out hips, and spreading and moving of legs as defence aginst takedown. Also the emphasis is too much on clinch work.
The space of cage is also too big and round with no corners, ring brings more direct and dynamic toe to toe fighting.

Ring MMA makes big and important part of MMA history and tradition. Some of the best and most important MMA organization were in ring: PRIDE, Pancrase, Rings, World & International Valetudo Championships in Brazil.

American version MMA, unified rules and cage monopolisation and dominance that we have seen over past 10 years really sucks.

Ring and Pride / Rizin rules MMA must survive and must and needs to exist on important scene for the good sake of MMA as a whole.
