I have little knowledge of Sony's warrantee policy. Any hopes of them repairing it, free or otherwise? Sorry man
 
Saw a youtuber shorts video of him fixing problematic consoles, maybe one of your local shops can fix it?
 
Sony's still in the game for consoles?

A friend of mine was recently given a lightly used PS4 to have a second console to fuck around on while her husband is gaming on his Xbox. The nightmare she's had trying to get that thing to work has been hilarious. Something about the Playstation network being down, so she couldn't set up a profile to even play the fucking thing.

I found it entertaining. She did not.

They’re practically unopposed in that market. PlayStation 5 has been outselling Xbox Series x/s something like 4:1 and I expect that disparity to grow as Microsoft has basically thrown in the towel for this generation.

As for Nintendo, the Switch has sold amazingly well but it’s now 8 years old, with the Switch 2 coming “sometime” this year.

Sounds like bad timing. I believe they just had a freak major outage a little while ago. It doesn't happen all that often. Not a big deal, really.

Planned obsolescence is a thing.

That said, $500 for a powerhouse hub to play games from your couch for five years is a helluva deal. The cost/entertainment ratio is out of this world.

No complaints from me to Sony since day 1. Their product has always been reliable and long lasting as far as I've experienced.
