RIP Kevin Randleman: Help Raise Money for Family Expenses.

Oh you americans. Are these fundraisings the new form of socialism. What if some unknown smuck dies, who is there to collect money for them?

No one. I think plenty of us are happy to hand over $20 (or whatever we can afford) to a guy who we respected and put his health on the line to entertain us while viewing our favorite form of competition.

I also do give money where I can to "random shmucks" on the street, so perhaps it isn't an American issue you're honing in on; merely a sentiment of generosity which you clearly lack.

Piss off, loser.

Sooo,...

You don't think a funeral is expensive?

What about normal bills?
His electric, gas, water, house, food, car and God knows what else needs to be paid.

His family needs these things paid until they can adjust and pay for these things without him.

I'm not trying to think anything. I was asking since there's no description on the page on what the 50k is being raised for. I asked whether it was for unpaid medical bills. I'm certainly glad to help with that.

God bless Kevin Randleman and his family, but if they're trying to raise 50k for utility bills and gas then I dont think it is something I can personally get behind. Good on you for trying to help the man's family out though. Wish his family the best.

It's sad to see all those pioneers like Coleman or now Randleman ('s family) struggling financially...
They are the real warrior generation we owe current MMA to..
RiP legend.

Honestly, I'd love to see what he leaves behind when he goes.

Lately I have been seeing a bunch of kids online pretending to be rich and calling other people poor, either directly or passive aggressively.

The truth right now, is everyone is poor and the rich people are quiet for fear of the poor. LoL.

I hate being mister suspicious of everything but why are they asking for 50,000 dollars ? A funeral is no more than 15,000 and the doctor bills they can go ahead and not worry about those because you can't collect from somebody has has passed away so the state will get that bill.

Rent maybe? I'll be donating regardless.

If he was married she will get the medical bills.

Probably still 10 years behind before the UFC, 20+ for any other MMA organization, implements some kind of retirement pension plan for fighters. Look at the NFL, they created their plans maybe a few years ago and they're ridiculously exponentially bigger than the UFC. I feel for Randleman's family, but the sport of MMA during his heyday was simply not a viable way of life for many.

But they don't want to think about that.

They just want to be cool and say negative things about a dead Fighter, because it makes them feel cool.

Yeah, they are going to need some support.

This thread needs to be stickied.

as soon as I get my bursaries back, I'll donate some cash. The man fought for my entertainment, I watched his fights, I would do even more if I could.

Who has started this gofundme page? Was it a member of his family?

I don't think anything more has been officially released about his death. Everyone here that was close to him, already clearly knows why.

The way you contribute it to his career, is to add up all of the stress his heart went through while fighting, training and healing. Compared to a normal person, his lifestyle caused quite a bit more stress and damage to his body.

If he had a genetic issue, then his fighting career most certainly accelerated his condition.
Yeah, the elements of his career definitely taxed his body. I just didn't know if maybe I missed some new info. Thanks.

for the general outcry that was when he died, i hope this reaches the goal (if this goes to his family)

I'll give this one a sticky for anyone that wants to help out.

Yeah, you could say a member of the family started it.

No new information yet, I'll post it if I hear anything, but I bet everyone else will too.

I'm am just more focused on them getting the support they need.

...

It's suppose to be going straight to the family and only the family.

king mo donated as well. I'm gonna donate myself. I feel for his family.

King Mo is one of the nicest heels in the sport. DC credits King Mo for keeping him financially supported when he was new to the sport without a dollar to his name. Glad to see Mo win that huge Rizin paycheck with the generosity he has showed towards other fighters.

So keep your closet closed and move the f@ck on.
