A sad way to go if you are in good health at that age.

Woah, I was all about these guys when I was first starting to lift weights. I feel bad for Arnold today, both these guys I looked up to, and now he's lost a buddy.

Yeah, the very first gym I ever trained in had a poster of Franco on the wall. One of the legends of the Golden Age of Bodybuilding. RIP.

Fate is inescapable indeed:(

Great physique. Nice guy(Ive heard) and a true athlete not just bodybuilder. Had some really good hands(boxing) and footwork for such a muscular dude. RIP champ.

So sad. Apparently he died in his home town. Franco always took on challenges like carrying a refrigerator in a strong man contest. He was probably the smallest there. Prob not a good idea to swim in open water at 78
