So, I'm sure most here are aware that Trump suggested there would be riots if he does not end up with the nomination in an "open" convention.

My question is do you think he is right? Will there in fact be large scale street level mayhem if he is not given the nod by the GOP?

What are you prepared to do as an individual if this occurs? Aside from internet actions.

Trump has black supporters?

No, there will be a bunch of butthurt on Twitter and YouTube. These people are apathetic losers clinging to the bravado of a carnival barker. The Republican Party is done tho.

Let us be clear here. The RNC is openly stating they will thumb their nose at the will of the people, and work to get a brokered convention to stop Trump from being the nominee.

I do believe their will be mayhem if this happens, but it will be the RNC's doing, not Trump's.

You always make bad inferences. I never said anything about him being at fault if there is rioting. He suggested that it would happen. I didn't say he advocated for riots, or that he would be ultimately responsible.

I don't know why you would be bothered by that clarification then.

It will be on him if there are riots , he's the one who predicted them , he clearly holds great sway over his supporters , he should choose his words carefully

LOL, Trump can call for all the calm he wants, but if the RNC subverts the will of the people, they are instigating the violence.

I am predicting along with Trump and many others, that this action on the part of the RNC will result in violence, and their are no pretty words that Trump could say to change that.

Why have a convention if the candidate with the most delagates regardless of how low that number may be automatically wins the nomination?

There is a bar set , reach it and the nomination is yours , fail to reach it then there is a process in place to choose .

I can see not liking the process but condoning violence if you don't get your way is not acceptable.

His supporters have demonstrated they are a wild bunch, or at least some of them.

But I really want to know who Cali, Texas, NJ, Pennsyltuckey, and Noo Yawk are going to back.

If those states do support Trump, and he does not get the nod, then I do think that is enough reason to riot. He is the people's choice.

There may be protests, but riots from that crowd? I doubt it. Unless there were some counter protesters or agitators there to stir the pot, but that would really just be kicking a dead horse at that point.

Edit- wrong thread

There won't be riots but the Republicans will make sure Hillary wins 50 states.

I think the disdain will come from the fact that the establishment actively is pouring support and millions if dollars to prevent Trump from securing the number of delegates required .

lol there is not going to be a riot this year. The GOP is going to get behind Trump, and he will use his leverage over the election to make that happen.

But, should the party turn its back on its members, there will be a shitstorm, and probably some significant amount of violence. It won't be a nationwide riot or anything, but could easily happen here or there.

I don't think so.

But wouldn't it be in the GOP's best interest to just eat crow and nominate Trump? I don't see any other good alternatives at this point. Who else will they nominate... Ted Cruz? A guy they hate almost as much that eats his own boogers in national debates.
