I had a question about Ringside's lace up training gloves. I recently saw a used pair on ebay up for sale, I didn't buy them, but noticed they looked different. They have ventilation holes on the thumb and actually they look like their better made than some of my recent experiences. I bought a pair last year they were pretty bad. The leather on the thumb was turned up and finger compartment was stitched shut almost and the leather was dirty and just bad looking.

The person purchased them just a month or two ago, has ringside changed manufacturers? They new ones look significantly better as far as craftsmanship and the leather looks pretty clean. If anyone has any knowledge of this I'd appreciate any input since I just bought a pair from ringside.com

can you post a pic of the gloves in the listing, or a link to the listing so we know which ones you're talking about? they do have a new IMF model and changed manufacturers fairly recently

I have bought Ringside gloves for quite a while, although I prefer to use the hook and loop closure since it is much fast, however, the gloves have been getting better quality as time passes. from the foam, to comfort, to the leather and sythetic materials they use. Also, ventilation has been something they have added fairly recently. Hope this helps in any way:)

These are the new ones.

I've had those for about a month now, they're pretty badass. As far as the feel, they somewhat feel like Grants to me, but with better padding. The require a little bit of break-in time, but they're top notch once they're broken in.

Review please? I was thinking of getting the new ringside imf but the pro version since its in 10oz and better for precise punching...the cuffs also seem fairly unique on these new imfs
