Hey guys,

This isn't a review rather a look ahead to the New version of the C-17. First, of all what is the C-17? It is Ring to Cage glove inspired by the Winning glove.

Earlier Clamp and I reviewed the 1st version which had its ups and it had its downs. http://forums.sherdog.com/forums/f67/ring-cage-c-17-review-2517097/

That was my review, basically I felt that the glove performed well but it had some setbacks like coming in under weight, and to a much less extent the logo being too loud.

The glove shape is INSPIRED by winning, we cleared that up last time. It is not a direct twin, but it does share a lot of similar qualities. I feel that the 2.0 IS the $99 glove to get. Hell I thought the 1st version performs really well and yes it did come under weight but I thought the performance was really good. The glove shape is different than winning, the thumb placement as well as feel is pretty much spot on. I couldn't tell any difference in the liner, I think Mohsin was able to get ahold of the same material. The leather feels the same but doesn't look the same. With the added padding but maintaining the same size as before the gloves perform, really really well. I think everyone will be 100% happy this time to include my comrade Shihtzu!

The R2C C17 2.0 is visibly wider than the winning, I feel that those seeking something Awesome will find it in these gloves.
The padding is protective and soft, absorbs really well. Those that used the C17s in the past will vouch for this, but this version added a little more thickness to the padding so it will feel even better than before!

Below it the new version and it has corrected ALL the mishaps that the old version had as well as add some improvements as well!

Improvements/Fixes:
+Better wrist alignment
+Better wrist support
+Smaller logo
+More padding over the knuckles
+Better Leather Quality
+Comes in lace-up or Velcro
+Staying at $99
+Better Liner
+True Weight

Right now Mohsin is replacing the 1.0s to anyone that bought them and provided him with their invoice number. Later after black Friday he will have his bulk order inbound and you should see it available on the site then.

The shade looks different but the feel inside the glove feels identical, works really well imo!

The cut is quite different, though seem to be nice gloves.

Awesome review Isaac (as always)!

no review yet waiting on others to get it, and im going to test it a lot more thoroughly before I post a full review.

Surprised Moshin actually listened to me about placing the wordmakr logo on top and stacked on bottom instead of vice versa as he originally planned. I just suggested that as a casual passing thought

looks like over a hundred hits already! People must be interested!

yeah talked to him 2 days ago and he mentioned that he was getting these in finally. not sure if mine were sent out yet. one thing i didn't like from the 1.0's is i felt they were loose on me, hand and wrist even with wraps. i doubt that has changed so we'll see if these will work for me or not. i don't have small hands either, pretty average. i kept the 1.0's new and in the box and will do the same with the 2.0's until i decide if i'll keep them.

no the wrist got tailored down, it fits me a lot better, which is why I put its better wrist support.

I didn't have an issue with the hand compartment at all even in the old versions. They are definitely smaller than Cletos. But that's just preference. Some people like snug others like wider.

Maybe I will Monday. I did just talk to him though and he's the one that brought it up. that's why I'm hoping he just went ahead and sent them already.

Yeah, I just have to find out how he wants me to pay the shipping, like give me an invoice or something.

I havent got around to sending mine back due go irl stuff is he still offering to exchange them out to folks? Ill email him as well, just figured id post here also

Yeah u need to email him or call him giving your original invoice number

How do these compare to Tokushu? I found my Tokushu still a little bit hard compared to my twins for Sparring. But Fit and Protection is something else. :D

The padding on these is much softer, i would say the c17 are better suited to spar with. tokushu are compact these are wider.
Tokushu have wrist support that is unrivaled.

The thumb on the c17 is much much better. Both are great gloves id get both to be honest but i love my tokushu for the bag.

The 17s are 99 bucks and u can find the tokushu for the same price as well if u search hard enough
