Shinya must of been suicidal when Marcelo Garcia and Roger Gracie tapped him very quickly on the same day (I think it was the 2005 ADCC).

I respect Shinyas grappling skills but I heard his personality leaves a lot to be desired. I heard he is disrespectful and hurts foreigners training at his gym

I feel like Shinya would make a great court jester.

Guys... Did you not read the thread??? I couldn't care less about your opinion on Ayoki... :)

Here is another match from the Budo Challenge to take your mind of Ayoki.

Now... to the point! Anybody heard of this before? Looks like this is fairly old, at least since 2007, and there never was another show. I guess pro BJJ just doesn't work out :(

I love the presentation of this, as well as the rules.

It's old but still sick. I hate the 3pt "Adv", mostly because Marcelo lost to Cameron Earle because of it. It does have a really sick presentation, though.

    It's old.

The guy whom Aoki foot locks at the end is in jail for raping people.

It was back in 2005 I think. Pretty cool idea, but really odd rules:

Giving more points for an unsuccessful submission attempt than you give for achieving dominant position is just really, really bizarre to me.

Holy hell! I just watched the end of that match! WTH was that armlock Viera did? Looked like was standing and had Barets arm and just yanked it with all his strength and fell into the armlock. Pretty sweet!

i like the rules enourages action by giving people an incentive to go for the sub rather than being conservative and worried about giving up position, although perhaps giving 3xthe points for attempting sub as acieving mount, getting a takedown etc is a bit much.perhaps just the 1 point would have been better.

It's really bizarre to me that it's ever been done any other way.
