But it is soooooo good.
What do you guys think? Am I fucking myself here?
No, I think you should add some teriyaki and soy to the finished product.
so 60 percent of your daily sodium intake from your rice isn't bad?
No, it is. If you have rice a roni just cut back on your sodium intake for the rest of the day and you should be fine.
You should never go over 2,400 mg of sodium a day unless you train like an endurance athlete (a marathoner, cyclist, triathlete, professional boxer, etc.)
Not to mention the neurotoxin MSG...
FYI - I used to work in a Chinese restaurant and anytime anyone ordered something with no MSG they ALWAYS put it in anyway and laughed about it.
Yeah, I'd rather just not mess with stuff like that and go for the wild rice. Tastes good.
Why is so much sodium bad? I have a ton. I have read in a few places that sodium only aggrivates hypertension, but will not cause it and isn't a problem if you don't already have high blood pressure. Within reason I always thought that it wasn't a big deal, I soy sauce the hell out of my stir fry and garlic salt the hell out of my chicken breasts. Anybody have articles about sodium?
No one who sweats routinely for longer than 30 minutes a day really has THAT MUCH to worry about sodium for. It's bad for bodybuilders because fluid retention is bad for bodybuilders, but I'm pressed to think of any other form of athletics other than things of that nature where it makes a huge difference. I just avoid it because over-salting is worse than under-salting tastewise.
ok then...Rice a Roni it is!!!!!!!!!
You think Rice O' Roni is bad, you ever taken a look at French Bread Pizza (if I could live off the stuff I would)...it's like over 1200 mg of sodium, seriously.
Rice o Roni is about 800
