Opinion RFK Jr. says HHS will determine the cause of autism by September

The biggest problem with the internet is it made dumb people think they are smart because they regurgitate shit they read from Spyder69 on Twitter.
I got a Facebook friend from High School, played football with and his claim to fame is at a party he ate 3 fish out of some dudes fish tank for 5 bucks
Currently he considers himself an infectious disease expert, Constitutional law expert, and now he could teach the pros of Tariffs at any Ivy League college. Had to snooze him a couple times because he posts more Tim Pool and Fox News clips than your average MAGADogger.
Social media for most people is just a confirmation bias echo chamber and if what you read fits your agenda it does not even need to be true.

Going about as well as you’d expect…

"Because of my family’s commitment to these issues, I spent 200 hours at Wassaic home for the r----ded when I was in high school,”"

If that's the slur they're upset about, they're blowing it was outta proportion.

I think all the doctors and researchers at the FDA are just used to a little bit more professionalism in their leadership.

It’s hard to think of a guy less qualified to lead such an important government agency.

See how you can’t even read what i wrote without turning in an asshole? This is like the South Park episode where cartman fakes having Tourette’s. You couldn’t point out cartman was faking without some complete idiot like you saying oh so you’re saying autistic kids should be exterminated! Take your so your saying horseshit somewhere else. I’m not buying.

What I said for the third time is these influencers are faking it for internet likes. People whom are just awkward, if even that, are claiming autism (largely self diagnosed too) so they don’t have to cop to just being uninteresting.
Fine, I'll withdraw the GFY. I'm sure there are some weirdos faking it for likes, I'm not aware much of the world of influencers, but there are people that fake cancer, that fake pregnancy that fake people in their lives dying for likes. My point is that it is amazing for the life of my child and others like him that are mostly able to be perceived as 'normal' while out in the world that the challenges they face are shared by others, they are not alone, and there are people like them that are successful out there, and they have more to dream of in life than would have been available to them earlier. That we don't feel like we have to hide his diagnosis in shame for the sake of teasing or ostarcisation is huge.

If that means a few weirdos lie about having it, i really couldn't care less.

Cutting research funding, firing and deporting scientists, disputing decades of well established vaccine and public health data, propagating pseudoscience, burning down foreign relations with countries all over the world, doesn't sound like the scientific collaboration that RFK Jr is describing. This man was appointed Secretary of Health and Human Services as part of Trump's revenge tour and for no other reason. Woefully unqualified and dangerous.

Secretary Brain Worm: RFK Jr. Tells Trump We’ll Know the ‘Cause’ of Autism by Fall

"Kennedy, who’s worked his entire life advocating against life-saving vaccines, praised Trump for his dedication to the so-called Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, and insisted that the team of scientists he’s assembled from around the world would figure out what was causing an autism “epidemic.”

“At your direction, we are going to know by September,” Kennedy said to the president. “We’ve launched a massive testing and research effort that’s going to involve hundreds of scientists from around the world. By September we will know what has caused the autism epidemic and we’ll be able to eliminate those exposures.”

Believe or not; from what ive heard of RFK his heart seems like in the right place, (ie. combatting obesity etc.)

just his brain sadly is not, which should be a qualifier.

It has to be something environmental. The cases are going through the roof. This just wasn't a thing when I was a kid. It existed and was misdiagnosed, but not in the numbers we see today. Autism is very specific even though the spectrum is vast. The number of kids with very similar symptoms and behavioral patterns/traits is astounding. Maybe it isn't vaccines, but it could be......it could be a genetic marker reacting poorly to a vaccine like a bad reaction. Maybe it is something else entirely. But it IS SOMETHING. My nephew has it and when he was born it was guesswork. They couldn't even diagnose it. Now it's so common they know way more. And like many other kids, my nephew went downhill AFTER vaccines. Fine as a baby. Many parents saw the same. But again, maybe not related, maybe it's a timing/age thing that is just a coincidence.

There's no way you could tell if a baby is autistic dude.

To be fair, if that was the only thing they were upset about. Deep state and sock puppet were in quotes also.

But again, at that level, it’s almost comical that this guy and other were out in charge with their lack of experience and tact.

Autism is just mental retardation, genius, OCD, and various mental illnesses put under a single umbrella.

Theres no single cause because its a fusion of unrelated things that were properly recognized as such until this big 21st century push to police everybody's feelings and link everyone together in some kinda "equality" cult.

Yeah no, I dont think it was that crap at all. Establishing a spectrum for autism has made it much easier to not only identify, but to also treat via establishment of programs. It's also made it a ton easier for families dealing with kids who are on the spectrum to find resources, and for agencies to establish them under the ADA. You're talking like standardization is a bad thing, but when it comes to getting a kid who is absolutely going to be marginalized and treated like sh*t all their life, while everyone just shrugs their shoulders as to what's wrong, some help it makes a ton of sense and that's why it's done.

after we've fired all the reputable researcher we will determine a cause based on our own agenda

You're gonna start to see cleverly-worded eugenic arguments being put forth, watch. It's already pretty popular among natalist communities and sh*t, who spend tons of money trying to optimize the kids they intend to birth.

We'll start to see the re-emergence of the "useless eater" contention. The eradication of DEI initiatives includes policies for employing disabled people. And the right already values people based solely on their productivity, their ability to contribute to the interests of capital. Remember "your Grandma would be willing to make the sacrifice for the economy"..? That, only now it's your severely autistic relative. I dont remember who but some Trump goon just said on TV the other day that Americans would be willing to go without Medicais and Social Security to assure GDP growth. Lol

....Then came one of the most infuriating parts of the press conference: Kennedy revealed how autism research funding has been misdirected for years.

He said the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has pumped 10 to 20 times more money into studying genetic causes of autism than into researching environmental ones.

That, Kennedy said, is a dead end.

“This is a preventable disease. We know it’s an environmental exposure. It has to be. Genes do not cause epidemics,” he argued.

That’s why Kennedy says he’s redirecting resources toward the kind of research that’s long been neglected—into environmental factors.

“And that’s where we’re going to find the answer,” he added.....

Kennedy plans studies into link between environmental factors and autism

By Ahmed Aboulenein

WASHINGTON, April 16 (Reuters) - U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said on Wednesday that he plans to commission a series of studies to identify environmental contributors to autism he claims are linked to its rising prevalence in the country.

Speaking at his first press conference since becoming secretary of Health and Human Services, Kennedy said the studies will look at mold, air, water, food, medicine, ultrasounds, and parental risk factors like age, obesity, and diabetes.

Kennedy was speaking a day after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a data analysis showing the prevalence of autism spectrum disorder in the U.S. among 8-year-olds in 2022 had risen to 1 in every 31. The data was published in the CDC's weekly report.

The causes of autism are unclear, although experts say it likely results from a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Many experts largely attribute the autism rate increase to widespread screening and including a wider range of behaviors to define the condition.

Kennedy, a former environmental lawyer, has long promoted a debunked link between vaccines and autism.

Last week, he set a September deadline for the U.S. National Institutes of Health to determine the cause behind the rise in U.S. autism rates, but said on Wednesday that "some of the answers" would be available by then.

The government's plans for studies include looking at the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine and autism, Reuters has previously reported. Previous scientific studies have found no link between vaccines and autism.

Kennedy also said he would move monitoring of autism rates to the newly created Administration for a Healthy America, which he oversees directly, from the CDC, which has in the past enjoyed a level of independence from its parent agency HHS.

Kennedy described the increase in autism as an epidemic, which patient advocates and scientists disputed.

I don't want a politician directive avenues of medical research thanks
