I am new on Sherdog and I wanted to give my taughts on my new pair of winnings 16 oz
sparring gloves.
First lets give the background behind this purchase, i needed a good pair of sparring gloves because my old crappy domios gloves fell apart. I could not use my 10 oz reyes regarding the protection for my sparring partners; after watching the pros use them i decided to give them a try.
I ordered from america Ya on rakuten in the begining of november, the guy was nice and helpfull and responded to my emails in a decent period of time since i live in France. He me that my gloves woule take
Two months to make; at the end of january they did send me the gloves, and they arrived in only two and a half days. Well packaged and with a gym bag wich is very nice.
Costs with shipping: 320 euros/ 351 USD
Now lets start with the review.

1) Quality

Theses gloves are extremely hight quality, the stitching is really well done. ( double stitched, inside perfectly made , the palm side is flawless )
The leather is nice and extremely soft ( it feels almost like fake leather but it's not) , you do not have a strong leather smell.
The logo is very nice and pop out.
The stock laces are the only draw back in this category, they are not the best quality laces you can find.
( the tip of the laces gets worn of quickly even if you burn them, they get dirty extremely fast )
The piping on the cuff is solid and made of leather.

In my opinion they will last you a very long time, unlike some cheap everlast or fake boxing brands.

2) Protection

Maybe you wondered why so many pro boxers use them for training; well it's easy, theses gloves offer you a lot of protection while still being rather compact (for 16 oz gloves ) and offering you feedback. You can still have a good feeling about the way you hit on the heavy bag and not hurting your hand.
When you sparr however, you will not feel a lot and your partner will be protected to a good extend.
The back of your hands, your thumb and wrists are protected ( theses areas are really well padded )

3) feeling

Once your hands are correctly wrapped up and the gloves are on, you do feel like champion, I have read that they feel light... And I must say that it is true, it feels like i am wearing a 12 oz pair of gloves.
You can block shots easily and open up your palm almost fully, whenever i use them a little bit on the bag, i always land on the knuckle area of my hand, and i never jammed my thumb.

4) Style

Theses gloves are beautiful, you will have an old classy and pure style while wearing them. Even if you pick bright colors, the way they are designed with this small logo gives them an "unseen" look which lets the quality and performance of the gloves speak for themselves.
If you like agressive designs on boxing gloves pass your way.

5) Value for money

Someone may ask this question. The answer is simple, it's a NO, even if they are in my opinion the best training gloves in the world nothing justifies the price. 351 USD is a lot of money, for less than half the price you can get some reyes.
But winning has lower prices than before and is cheaper than Grant for better quality.

Excellent review.

Value wise, I actually prefer my 16oz Reyes when stacked with the Winning NG2 knuckle guards.

Great blend of the puncher's feel and durability that Reyes are known for, and the protection from the guards.

I also like Reyes, i use 10 oz training gloves for bagwork and mitts, the ones with better padding. But i think their training gloves feels heavy
