When Hosay said that he'll fight Conor anytime, anywhere, any place, and that he'll be getting ready to fight McGregor on short notice, we all cheered for Aldo and praised his positive attitude.

Enter present day, RDA pulled out of the fight, and when Aldo got offered the fight and hence got offered the chance to redeem himself and exact his revenge upon Conor, he chickened out. He did not uphold his word, and for that, he deserves no hespect from MMA fans.

One year ago, Aldo was one of the most respected fighters in MMA. Currently, it's hard to take him seriously. In hindsight, it was better for Conor to win the FW championship, because the way Aldo has been carrying himself post UFC 194 is not that of a champion.

I'm very disappointed in Aldo, and as much as I'm hyped for Diaz / McGregor, Aldo / McGregor 2 would have been amazing as well.

I have nothing but respect for Aldo, but I can't pretend like he kept his word.

Hahahah...dude was not in shape...simple...10 days...not everyone is like cerrone...reverse respect?? Lol

Conor is now king, Frankie is the prince and poor old Aldo has been relegated to court jester.

Oh how times have changed.

Man Aldo should've jumped a this. I mean if he doesn't get KTFO in 13 seconds its will be an improvement.

so is reverse respect "hespect"?
and I agree that Aldo had a golden opportunity and he failed to capitalize. Hell, if he is as great as everyone thought he was, he would have stepped up no matter what to prove he can last more than 13 seconds.

I'm sure Conor detractors will somehow spin this around in a positive manner for Aldo and make Conor out to be some kind of coward

OP's right ya know. Seriously, how do you talk all that shit like you want his head, completely disregard him like he's some bum pre fight, get ktfo in 13 seconds, then turn down the fight when you might NEVER get this fight again????

And I honestly think it's because the fights gonna be at 155, si he's scared the fans will say how he fought at 155 before, so why now anymore. The guy is straight up allergic to LW.

No, but I will say that as an Aldo fan, I'm very disappointed that he was full of crap about this situation.

I mean, after all that salty talk about getting revenge 'any time, any place' and then getting the golden opportunity to redeem yourself after saying what an easy fight Conor is, come on

Conor fans are very paranoid bunch indeed.

Aldo isn't medically cleared.

Aldo needs to be careful about mentioning Conor's name from now on, anything he says about Conor would just make him look like a fool after he refused the rematch. Very doubtful he'll even get that rematch now. Bravo mr Aldo.

If you've followed Aldo on his comments regarding the UFC, fighter pay, and moving up to LW, it's always been clear that he is simply very vocal, but no too keen on putting things to action.

But because he's socially awkward and doesn't speak English, the weirdos on this site take it as bein "badass"

The guy was medically suspended with no contact for 2 months. That means AT BEST he just started training not even 2 weeks ago. If he wins then he still has to fight Conor again to get the belt back, but if he loses there is absolutely no chance he gets a third fight with Conor unless he clears out almost the entire FW top10. If I was Andre and I was serious about my fighter getting the belt back I wouldn't let him rematch this early either, there is no way in hell he is anywhere even close to top or decent shape.

I don't have less respect for him in this situation, he's always been a shady talker. This sort of thing really isn't out of character for him imo. If you didn't notice he was like this before you weren't paying attention.
