Where do you use reverse kimura and has anybody used the variation where instead of grabbing your own arm you make a fist and pass it under it then twist to take off the slack?

Never seen it. I like it. I don't understand the second variation you are describing.

Love it

Due to a weird striking coach I'm naturally in a south paw stance (right leg in front) and I'm 80% of the time in opposite stance from my partner. I see tons of occasions where I'll be able to setup and use this grip and the takedown afterwards.

Plus I already use the reverse kimura grip a lot when I'm playing guard, it's pretty easy to push the arm to expose the back and take side guard.

Do you guys think that it would be a good idea that while you have that grip and you are fighting to get the take down to just push the arm in and take the back?
