I dont get the hype over these sammies. they aint that good. A good Club Sandwich is 10x better. But people seem to be buying the Ruben Hype right now and it needs to stop.
 
I didn't know Ruben's were the thing right now but I did find it odd two weeks ago when I went to my friend's house for the weekend and we specifically bought stuff because they wanted Ruben's. I was like I didn't think you cats knew what that was. I like them but I just like them as much as other sandwiches.
 
You're having the wrong reuben then, bro. They're fucking amazing. Also, what a terrific way to bring together historically warring countries!

Corned beef: Jews
Russian dressing: Russians
Swiss cheese: Swiss
Rye bread: Lots of fucking people (Russians)
Sauerkraut: Germans

Stalin and Hitler would shit their pants if they had a delicious reuben.

Uhhh you forgot - Ze Germans: Sauerkraut.

Reubens are not overrated, and sauerkraut is severely underrated.
 
A Reuben sandwich is awesome if made right, but if made wrong with the wrong imbalances in kraut, beef or dressing, it can be not great. Also, the quality of bread must be right. It can be a complicated sandwich.
 
At the bar and grill I used to work at, we would have club sandwiches specials when we were trying to get rid of different types of meat before it went bad. We had to specifically get Sauerkraut for Ruebens even though we didn;t use it for anything else.

Club sandwiches are leftovers
 
Reubens have been a thing for a long time, a damn tasty thing. Club sandwiches are a dime a dozen.
 
Nothing better than a good Reuben... On the other hand, there's nothing more disappointing than a shitty one
 
I prefer peanut butter and dill pickle on grain bread myself.
