Retracting What I Said About McGregor

After re watching the fight for the 5th time (because it never gets old watching your favorite fighter defeat an overwhelming favorite) I now see how big of a factor Conor McGregor's fatigue came into play when defending the submissions. I want to note that I did indeed call his ground game "non-existent" earlier today because I for one expected him to lose via submission, and the first time watching it honestly look liked he kinda gave up. But around the 5th time void of favoritism, I can see how hard he was breathing and how much energy he exhausted trying to avoid that guillotine especially after taking some tough shots to the face and a hard knee to the stomach.

So to those whom I argued with earlier today about the matter, I can now say that I see where you all were coming from. BUT, I do maintain that his ground game probably isnt where it should be to compete at the top level outside of the FW division, AND considering the obscene amount of shit talking he did leading up to this fight you cannot really blame anyone for exaggerating his weaknesses when he pretty much sold himself as being invincible and unbeatable. So there you have it, I am a rational human being who is willing to consider other points of view, and can come to terms with being wrong.

EDIT: Split this ONE paragraph into two because lots of you have clearly never written anything scholarly in your life and do not actually know what a full detailed paragraph looks likes or consists of. So here you go, two blocks for the benefit of those who are uneducated.

Obviously people on here care enough about to argue with you...dont try to act like im being outlandish by retracting a statement, because you probably care too much about your own opinion to ever see someone elses sensibly. Go kick rocks dweeb.

I agree that he gave up and that was a huge factor in why he looked so bad, however him tapping so quickly wasnt when he gave up, it was when he went for the shot. He knew he was about to get KO'd

Is this an official retraction, or were you hacked?

Hi, I rewatched the fight and now my opinion of what I think now is totally relevant and everyone should listen to me.

No one cares. We all watched the fight. Watching it twice or three times or a thousand times doesn't give you some magical insight. McGregor still lost. Diaz still won.

He gassed, I watched once. I wanna watch it again...

I salute you TS. This forum needs more posters like you.

Keep it short or learn how use paragraphs. No one wants to try and read a wall of text.

Why r you (n basically everyone else in here) being such vag muscles?!?!

He's not saying his opinion is superior. He's just admitting that maybe he was a little biased in his original judgement.

he used zero energy to escape the guillotine. he burned his energy trying to time the escape to return to his feet like he did against mendes.

You have some valid points but you should go back to your first opinion. Conor ground game isn't good enough to continuously win vs the elite. Regardless of what division. Edgar is waiting for him at 145lbs. Conor only chance to win that one is with a KO in the first two rounds.

Valid points ... He did gas .. his own fault he had a full camp unlike Diaz ....

He did get rocked and ate some gnp and most likely on his way to a TKO before being subbed.

You guys have problems reading a 10 second paragraph?

Anyhow, yeah gassing had a lot to do with the quick sub, but I think a lot of the gassing happened because of getting hit. Some guys it takes the tank right out of them.

As soon as Nate got side control he completely gave up. Maybe it was fatigue maybe inexperience.

You're not being outlandish, you're just some weird fanboy in denial about Conor having no ground game.

At this point I wouldn't put it past you to subscribe to conspiracy theories about the Diaz Bros polluting Conor's water bottle rather than having to face the cold hard truth that your boy is a novice on the ground.

so a little insight on cardio and "gassing etc from the perspective of someone who trains and does Ironmans, ultra distance cyling etc .....Nate not having "a full camp" does not mean he was not in shape ....he is a triathlete and he may have not sparred a ton of rounds like he normally would have but his cardio level was still going to be on point compared to most mma fighters.... Diaz bro's don;t lose there main base of cardio even when their not fighting...when you race Triathlons and the season has just kicked in he is going to be putting in the miles on the bike and on the run...as well swimming...add some mma training and hes in very good shape...Conor straight up needs to run more ....his base seems to be lacking which is surprising. You would have thought that his camp would have focused on his cardio more especially with more muscle and especially going up against a Diaz...no excuse for that....and to the people who think a well conditioned Conor at a lighter weight could not beat Diaz your crazy...he could...sorry but Nate for the most part only started looking good when Conor started gassing....fan of both so happy to see Nate win also...Conor/Nate 155- full camps and Conor well trained on his cardio and we have a great fight.
