This is truly problematic as it relates to a subset of the martial arts community that has a hard enough time as it is dealing with its rep for modern day Kobra Kai incarnations. Worse is that when we hear stories of someone in this type of MA getting in trouble because they attacked someone in a bar/street fighting scenario for bothering them or acting in a way that offended them, the far too typical response is to go on about how awesome and epically badass it is (and how *cute* it is if it is a woman who committed the assault). We often go on about MA dojos that don't teach students how to fight but these stories confirm what MA skeptics say even about MA gyms that do teach students how to fight effectively.
