I honestly wouldn't care either way. Barao was down every round then finished in the fifth, it doesn't get more definitive than that really. However, not a lot of guys ride a 10 year 30+ fight win streak; even fewer guys have to stick with an interm title for so long.

Personally, I would prefer if he gathers himself against another challenger while TJ defends against Raphael.

No, if it was a close fight like Machida/Shogun then yes. But he got dominated for five rounds. Give him a fight or two first.
