Martin Luther King Jr the American Pastor who fought his heart out for civil liberties for all men through his nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs.

In these troubling days of terrorism and wars on top of wars, Martin Luther King Jr's wise words ring louder then ever in these trying times as hate and fear rise from the ashes and takes grasp around the World going country to country.

Many admit they take this day as just another day off from work, or school, but take some time to look into the works of the late great humanitarian Martin Luther King Jr and his crusade for "Non-Violent Protests" in the search for peace for all mankind.

Standford University has a great site for anyone interested in looking into the works of MLK.

Even today I get chills listening to Martin Luther King Jr's last speech -- its as if God came right through him and put those words into Martins mind and he unleashed God Wisdom into the Wild for all men to hear and remember:

Not many know this, but in the final moments of Dr Kings life, just prior to being shot he had called down from the balcony to a Saxophonist player who was scheduled to play that night at a dinner with King, King yelled down

Didn't he steal the line that he is mostly quoted with from some little girl?

Man, I hope they didn't play that soulless version of that prayer at MLK's funeral.

edit: I guess irl, Aretha Franklin sang it at his funeral.

The media is constantly pumping up the fear, the fate we face Social media and the so called "trolls" spilling into the real world as the lines are beginning to be blurred.

Local Law Enforcement Agencies are getting a surplus of Military equipment from the Department of Defense ....The Middle East is being torn apart by War and those who profit from Wars ....

The times are hard, but in these tough times we look to those who came before us for guidance and Martin Luther King Jr's message should be carried with us as if it was a rifle -- the rifle of love, truth, peace and joy -- spread it Sherdoggers and let us recapture our human side and put out the flame of the beast who wants the world to hurt.

Great addition, I almost posted that exact video but was looking for lyrics so readers could follow along and get the full grasp of the event - the song he requested before being taking out.

    Thanks for posting.

I asked my 5yr old niece yesterday "do you know who MLK is?" she answered " he's a lawmaker?" I replied "kind of.." I thought that was it but she went on to say "..I think 40 or 60 years ago dark skinned people went to one school & light skinned people went to another, he stopped that."

hit me right in the feels, this kid.

    We want console equality.

The Dreamcast was just as good as the PS2 or the XBox, yet got no respect from its contemporaries.

Good to know the good stuff is based on religion unlike all the bad stuff.

they always kill the wrong people. it is a shame he was assassinated.

he was about saying we are all equal. we are all the same. to judge by the contents of character and not by skin

his fake religious pretenders to the throne such as sharpton and jessie, only want to show the differences and attribute all things to a person's color and none to their character

if there was another MLK he could really uplift the black community. but all we have is sharpton is the divide and lose

the best way to get any minority accepted by the majority, is to show that they are people just the same as you, only they look different.

    oh well,

    lol, you are silly.

I spelled it the way I wanted it, even if it was unintentional it still isn't that big a fuck up ......now giving up Two Touchdowns in 44 seconds and blowing a chance to go to the Superbowl....well ....that's a pretty big Fuck up.

Great post and so true, Martin didn't trust Jesse Jackson, and he shouldn't have....Jessie was a snake. Just as Sharpton.

Sharpton is one of the biggest instigators of hate in America today, race baiting and trying to stir the pot and keep the people from coming together for the greater good.
