I remember people laughing when i said the night of the first fight that Conor would win the rematch
I said nate can beat him (obviously) but conor is the better fighter and wins 8/10
And they laughed and they told me "how does he win? He can't finish him. He certainly won't make it to decision"
And then of course he nearly finished him in the 1st round--rocked him, dropped him twice. Had he been a little more confident in his sub defense he could've very possibly finished it.
I'm still dissappointed that he gassed so early and think that's something conor clearly needs to work on. You'll have a hard time finding a Middleweight top 10 that gasses in the 2nd round, so the featherweight champion should be able to run laps for 10 rounds like Edgar
With that said, let's be clear: the one and only reason this was even a fight was because of Conor's bad cardio.
He had two problems in the first fight: bad cardio and he head hunted too much and didn't attack the legs with kicks which is just common sense for a diaz fight
He corrected one of those mistakes and dropped nate twice ....
If he can get his cardio to even last 3 rounds, not 5 but just 3....Diaz will be finished
Again you people laughed at the idea that Conor would ever beat nate after the first fight
It never ceases to amaze me how narrow minded and short sighted MMA fans are
If you don't see it with your own eyes, you don't believe it.
No one believed rampage could win the 3rd fight with Wanderlei
No one believed brock could win the rematch against mir
And now conor vs nate
There's dozens of other examples but this post is long enough.
mma fans act like one or two matches is gospel
Now try not to be shocked when rumble beats DC, cause i already told you
(And Reem is about to be champ)
