Remember when Joe Rogan said...

I don't even want to have this discussion with you if you don't realize both Dana and Lorenzo's eyes turned into dollar signs after Nate went off on FOX.

Then why didn't they scrap the CHAMP vs CHAMP fight to set up Nate/Conor?

Jesus man this didn't happen that long ago, Nate was an injury replacement. Everyone didn't know the fight was gonna happen because everyone calls out Conor. Nate just set himself up the best.

The post fight rant added more fuel to the fire for the fight to take place, allegedly Conor wanted to fight Nate for a while ever since UFC 189 as he was considered as a late replacement for Aldo.

I'm sorry - everyone with some common sense knew that fight would happen at some point.

:>

On his podcast with Schaub and Callen, right after Nate beat Michael Johnson, Joe Rogan said he got in trouble by Fox and by the UFC for not cutting Nate Diaz off when he was cursing at Conor after beating MJ. He said that Nate would probably be fined for going off like that on Fox. He also said:

"But if he gets that Conor fight, the fine would be absolutely worth it. He could be a fucking even bigger superstar than he already is".

Did that shit prove true or what? I didn't hear nearly anyone talking about that fight before because Diaz looked like shit prior to that fight and Conor was being heralded as a god. After that win and rant though, he was right fucking in there in the trio of possible opponents for Conor. Not only did he get the fight, he fucking won. He 1-2'd that hype train right back to Ireland. How fucking crazy is that? All from a fucking rant.

Bro.

It was Predicted by sherdog that Nate was gonna call out Conor McGregor before he took the mic.

I said "everybody knew that fight was going to happen" - I didn't say when.

Again, how this fight would happen? Nate would have to still win 1 or 2 fights to set up a titleshot and this assuming Conor would beat Dos Anjos and stay at 155, he would probably fight Lawler next so the Nate Diaz fight was unlikely to happen.

If I remember correctly, later in the interview Nate reached for the mic again and Joe kept it back, saying, "We're on Fox, sorry" or something like that.

Joe Rogan says a lot of things. The law of averages means some of them are bound to come true. Also remember Joe Rogan said Ronda could beat 50% of the male UFC bantamweight roster. And so far he hasn't been proven wrong on that statement as she's only lost to a female bantamweight. It could be a good thread...Remember when Joe Rogan said!

Helwani would tell you the same, bro.

Knowledge is a bitch.

If this is your rebuttal I'm done here. You can talk to the other poster who corrected you. If multiple people are telling you you're wrong, guess what, you're probably wrong.

I thought you were implying that the UFC wanted that to be the fight to make right after Dos Anjos, my bad if i misunderstood that.

He's playing revisionist history, as if the outcome of RDA/McGregor would have no effect on if the Nate/Conor matchup would get made.

Nate only got the fight due to RDA injury. Had Conor won, or lost the RDA fight he would have belts to defend. Nate would have had to get a title shot, if he could get there.

Explain to me how I was wrong, again?

He did. You can tell how him and his brother were reacting in the back after that interview, that it was all orchestrated.
The Diaz brothers are alot more planned and calculated then people give them credit for.

Nick/Nate rant after EVERY fight. He finally gets one of those fights and people are wiping his ass for him and telling him how smart he is. You are all fools!
