Former CFO on Food Stamps After Controversial Viral Video About Chick-Fil-A

Douchebag CFO decides to jump on the Chick-Fil-A hate train back in 2012 and video himself berating a random drive thru cashier to show his support.

Gets fired from his $200K/year job the next day and hasn't found a job since. Now he's on food stamps.

Might be a little harsh on the consequences... but's it kinda funny.

For the people who are going to say "karma" how is this balanced?

Scolds worker for couple minutes VS losing livelihood and goes from upper class money to lower class

Really? I mean I'm not in support for his scolding but it's extreme to say he deserved what happened to him just because of that.

good.

only downside of this story is there is an off chance some bleeding heart pussy makes a fundraiser for him and he gets a bunch of free money.

fuck that guy.

A guy that treats people in public like that, you don't want him in a leadership role in your company. I'm glad he probably learned his lesson. I hope he gets a job again though so he can support his wife and kids. It's too bad they had to suffer cause you know it's taken a toll on them too. Hopefully things are ok for him and hopefully he's in a better place mentally and in how he treats other people.

Edit: I felt bad for the girl at the drive through who had to take his crap, but she handled it like a boss. His company should have made her CFO.

Sucks for his family but:

1. Targeting the server was a bitch move. Got a problem with corp policy, take it up with the suits, not the workers. As a suit himself, he should know this. Instead he picked a perceived easy target

2. Posting a video of yourself online doing anything may have consequences in the future.

3. If you want to "fight the power" don't be surprised if the "power" fights back. Better be ready to accept that and know the risks to yourself and your family's livelihood.

Good. Chick-fil-A did nothing wrong.

Even though berating the cashier was stupid (when his beef was with the corporation as a whole), is that really a firing offense for his company (which is unrelated)?

Can any employment law aficionados shed light on this? Sounds like wrongful termination, unless he was pressured to resign (but the article says he was fired from this CFO job and his follow-up CFO job when they found out he was the guy from the video).

Feel bad for the wife + kids.

He needed something like this to learn his lesson and change his attitude.

I think its more like, he acted like an asshole and thats all I know him for. I don't feel bad for someone that doesn't know how to save money when you're making 6 figures a year.

He gave his company a black eye. I think that's a fireable offense.

I'd like to add, acting like a college freshman and trying to fight the man is so immature when you have a family to support.

If I'm the boss and you're bringing discredit and bad press on my business, which in turn causes me to lose money/business, Im going to fire you as a liability.

He wasn't fired for being black, white, male, female, religious, atheist, gay or straight; he was fired for being a dumbass that's costing his company $.

In most states a company can fire you for doing things that can harm their brand. He did that.

Sexual orientation isn't a protected class in many(maybe most) states. You can be fired for being gay.

lol so losing his livelihood and being sent to the poor house is the proper punishment for being a meanie with a bad attitude

No, but being a dumbass that hurts your company's bottom line is not a trait I want in an employee.
