Donald Cerrone is a great fighter. He goes on crazy winning streaks taking on all the elite up and comers in the 2 divisions that he's fought in.
The only recurring problem that he has is that his nerves affect his performance. Multiple people including his coaches have said he goes into a fight very nervous and takes a while to relax in there.
The consistent way to beat him is to take him out in the first round before he has time to relax.
If he IS relaxed, he is a dangerous man to deal with.
Matt Brown was beating Cerrone and even dropped him once in their fight, because he was being mean and not being a nice guy.
Seconds before this KO, Matt Brown made Cerrone feel at ease by hugging him, which is the worst thing you could do in a Cerrone fight.
Cerrone has shown time and time again to be a slow starter. This is because of his nerves. Once he settles in, he's a hard man to beat.
Just like 3rd Round Romero is a thing, Relaxed Cerrone is a thing.
