Just an interesting list I have compiled, if you think I've missed any, please post, thanks.
Bellator commentator Jimmy Smith has a 5 - 1 record in MMA, his only loss to TUF veteran Andy Wang by split decision. He retired in 2006 with a win via heel hook.
The CSAC's executive officer Andy Foster has a pro record of 9 - 2, and an amateur record of 7 - 0. He retired in 2007. His most notable fight was against Brian Ebersole which he lost by decision.
Diet nutritionist Mike Dolce whom has worked with hundreds of fighters over the years has a pro record of 5 - 10. He's fought the likes of Mike Pierce, Lyman Good, and Antonio McKee. He retired in 2010.
MMA referee Dan Miragliotta, while to my knowledge, never fought in MMA, was in the judging panel for UFC 19 in 1999, so he has been around the game for years.
Herb Dean is the most recognizable figure to fight in MMA as he's one of the biggest referees in the sport, along with 'Big' John McCarthy (who actually applied to fight in UFC 1). Dean held a record of 2 - 3, with his most notable fight which resulted in a loss was to Joe Riggs. He retired in 2007.
Referee Marc Goddard from England competed in MMA, holding a record of 7 - 6 - 1. He lost twice to current Bellator fighter James Thompson in 2003, and he retired in 2008.
Larry Landless, who would be a notable name to some old school posters here, is a former referee (?), and MMA fighter. He had a 3 - 0 record and he compiled that record in around 6 months, before retiring in 2003. He actually used to train Herb Dean, and also got Dean his first ever referee gig in MMA.
Greg Franklin, the brother of retired former UFC MW champion, Rich Franklin, is a referee that usually works Bellator fights. He was an unsuccessful pro MMA fighter holding a record of 1 - 4, but he did go 5 - 0 as an amateur. He retired in 2005.
Wallid Ismail is a famed coach, that trains some of MMA's biggest stars from Brazil. He held an MMA record of 9 - 3, and even competed in PRIDE going 1 - 2. He also fought at UFC 12. He retired in 2002, after coming off two wins.
'Crazy' Bob Cook, a famed trainer at AKA, did once himself compete in MMA. He fought for two years, going undefeated at 5 - 0 in the process. He retired in 2000, defeating Tiki Gohsn by rear naked choke, at UFC 24.
Kenny Monday, who is an Olympic gold medalist, and three time All-American wrestler, and has worked as a wrestling coach to stars such as Rashad Evans and Anthony Johnson. He competed in MMA only once, defeating John Lewis (who was very important to the early days of the UFC with Dana and the Fertittas), in 1997 by TKO.
Mark Schultz is an Olympic and two time World champion freestyle wrestler. His brother Dave Schultz was shot and killed by the owner of the Foxcatcher centre where he trained. A movie in 2014 was based upon this story. Mark Schultz became the first Olympic gold medalist to enter mixed martial arts under bare-knuckle "no-holds-barred" rules in the UFC. Schultz replaced Dave Beneteau at UFC 9 in 1996, facing off against the Gary Goodridge. He won the bout by doctor stoppage due to a cut. Schultz was paid $50,000 for his victory.
Andre Pederneiras whom founded the famed Nova Uniao gym in Brazil which trains stars such as Jose Aldo and 'Renan' Barao, held an MMA record of 1 - 1 - 2, before retiring in 2000. He even fought Pat Miletich at UFC 21.
Conor McGregor's head coach John Kavanagh has a pro MMA record of 3 - 3. He only fought professionally for 3 years before retiring in 2003. His brother James is a popular social media figure and entrepreneur.
