He blew his wad was too tentative and gassed out on the guillotine attempt and sprawl.

Overeem has one of the best guillotines in mma. In fact, he was one of the only few people to ever submit Vitor Belfort in mma. He won the european abu dhabi championship just on his guillotine alone. He guillotined everyone. Once he sinks it, its game over. His problem from what I could see was he had it locked with the hands, but he didn't have a hook in - and MIocic was able to shrimp out. It probably happened so fast, but that mistake had a heavy cost.

What exactly did he do tho to blow his wad? Was it the sprints around the cage you think?

He had to let go of the choke
but I don't think their was any evidence of his blowing his "wad"

I think he just had a terrible game plan he obviously wanted to counter strike and make Stipe chase him but his plan backfired when he didn't ride his bike fast enough. Some big errors on Overeem's part too bad.

Miocic tapped though.

Nerves can deplete you quickly, an adrenaline dump = blown wad in no time.

Reem fought well. I thought it was over when he got the choke...he has a savage guillotine. Stipe did a great job escaping and fought a great fight.

For from perfect technique.

But when Stipe got out. Overeem literally ran away and Stipe was obviously clear headed.

It's like the failed TKO/Sub took all of Overeem's belief. I don't know. It was weird. Yet he still staggered Stipe a little later. But it didn't last more than the blink of an eye.

Hmmm I dunno if I can agree with OP until @Wadtucket weighs in on this

Edit:
Alright we're good to go boys

Wad was officially blown

Actually, I don't agree at all.

He fought exactly how has been fighting to get this far. He has always had questionable defense and he's been missing those huge K-1 Gloves, but his movement and striking diversity has helped him win fights since he's effective offensively. His chin isn't bad per se, but his recovery is and he can get dazed often. He continued to pick his spots and land good strikes while resetting with his movement. The problem is, he's never been a high IQ fighter under pressure and going for a submission after rocking Stipe was incredibly foolish.

Also, Stipe hits really fucking hard.

His striking is good but defense sucks. He just covers up and offers no counters when a fighter throws combinations at him. Doesn't slip out of the way, instead chooses to act like a punching bag. Plus his chin is weak and once it gets hit he doesn't recover. I loved him in his pride days but he always got knocked out when facing a top tier fighter.

Let there be no doubt that someone blew wad on that fateful night. Stipe is an assfarmer and does not fail to seize a farming opportunity when it arises.
That's all I needed to hear

He v should have rocked stipe instead of going for the guillotine
