He will be 36 this year. Married with kids.

what does your brother like/want?
I mean is an engraved knife or a bullet bottle opener something he'd really want? Personally gifts like bottle openers always piss me off because I have a bunch of them in a junk drawer in the kitchen. Then again, my company has a bunch of promo bottle openers and the cell phone sleeve wallets and when I went to give them out to clients most of them wanted the bottle openers. Mostly because they didn't want something with the company I work for advertised on their cell phone.

One gift I got for last Christmas that wasn't bad ( think it was a little over $50) was a portable charger/jumpstarter that I keep in the car. You could offer to get his car washed and detailed, a massage, offer to take the kids for the day so he and his wife can go out and have some time alone, just to name a few. Again you know your brother better than we do.

Or just get him the Mr Stud as per Scarhead's recommendation

And get him one of those customizable whiskey barrels you can age whiskey in. They’re like $50 and are way cooler than a knife or bottle opener, which at 40ish your brother likely has plenty of.
