The sport lost face :p and the judges. This was supposed to be all about getting people excited and back in the stadiums, but looks like it's done the opposite with loads people moaning about it on the net saying it will put more people off of going to watch the fights. Somrak himself after said he felt like he was robbed and most likely won't fight again now. Most people though Somrak should have got it as well.

So is this making people talk about judging? Probably not, so Somrak's basically giving up on the sport? That's great...

Great, Yodkhunpon just highlight KO'd an unknown fighter. I'm sure once the video hits the internet people will once again proclaim him as something special. Fuck...

People talk and complain about judging all the time, this just added fuel to the fire, it's getting a change that is the problem. I spoke with Somrak a bit before this fight and he said then he didn't really want to fight as some other things had him had enough of the sport, this was most likely the icing on the cake

I don't get why gamblers wouldn't want to change the rules? Is it the chance for a fighter to turn a fight around in a quick manner that they want? Might be a bit too complex to say but I just don't get how changing the rules would piss off the gambling community.

Guess who's back. One of my favorites Petpanomrung Kiatmoo9! I am glad he has taken some time off. He looks like he has beefed up naturally. Before it seemed forced and he didn't look as solid as he does in this fight. Nice win. Hope he will be more active.

One of the best NakMuay in the world, but couldn't cut it in Glory...

Yodkhunpon fghting Armin Phumpanmuang on april144

One of the best NakMuay in the world, but couldn't cut it in Glory...

I dont think that was just on him. He definitely has the tools to be great in organizations like Glory but lacked the right team/game plan. For both Glory fights he came in overweight at the weigh in when he was moving up in weight which just shows how serious he took training camp. Sitmonchai is a great camp but feel like they need to work on a lot of things and there is not enough discipline.

I thought the same thing with Pornsaneh. Porn has heart and gangster like aggression but is wild and lacked controlled aggression. Yodkhunpon needs a MuayThai version of Cus D'amato who brought out the best of Mike Tysons natural gifts.

If Yodkhunpon went to Sitsongpeenong he would definitely become the greatest ever. The natural talent that flows within him is unprecedented.

And Jay, Snubs post was a sarcastic reply to my post. He's just dickin' around.

Maybe

Or it could he realized he was out of his league with a monster like Pitchitchai and for 500 bucks or whatever wasn't worth getting beaten up more.

He is not the smartest or most versatile fighter and his kicks are bad compared to other thais, but he has some power and his timing is alright. If he woulf fight smart instead of "sitmonchai style" or always trying to get the knockout of course he would be more succesful. Nobody really believes he is that amazing or whatever, i dont understand why yall are being sarcastic.

Sarawut Pitakpaapardaeng vs Watcharapon PKSaenchai from last Friday's Lumpini show. Damn good fight.

Ongri Sor Dechapan vs Banlangngern Por Pinapat from the same show

And Ronachai Santiubon vs Petrung Sitsonong in the main event. Ronachai has won about 7 straight and is emerging as one of the best little fighters. Hopefully he can get matched up with some of the Petyindee affiliated fighters (Wanchai, Sam-D, Satharnmuanglek etc..).

A lot of times he's far more conservative than typical Sitmonchai style. Just watch his last fight in full. He didn't really do much the first couple rounds. His first Isuzu fight a month ago was just 5 rounds of infrequent punch flurries. His Glory fights were much the same, and he's had his share of snoozers in the stadiums when he seemed disinterested of just outclassed and couldn't do anything.

Yodkhunpon fghting Armin Phumpanmuang on april144

Where? It's not listed on the Lumpini show.

I would think this is at 150+ and Yodkhunpon was soft at 143. Armin should win.

Yeah he is less of a brawler compared to pornsanae, but the point is hes always looking for the knockout by low kicks and punches. The infrequent flurries are exactly what i mean by not being versalite and not fighting smart
Lets see how it works out for him in the isuzu cup though... which fighters are still in the tournament?

Palangpon's orderly destruction of Thanadet. Palangpon is still doing well in Muay Thai considering he's one of those guys who splits his time with boxing.

Yodkhunpon and PTT Petruangrung are each 2-0 so far. It's a round robin type tourney so others are still in it. Mostly just blown up fighters who could fight at 140.

Superbank won his first fight at the world championships, and looks like he did so clearly. 30-27 from all judges. Now gets to fight Lazaro Alvarez who is one of the very best amateurs in the world. Superbank doesn't have much of a shot, but he'll get to see what it's like to face the best and will surely help him going forward.

Superbank lost to Alzarez, the #1 seed. The judges had it 3-0 but I thought it was quite competitive. Superbank did well.

questionable chin.

Maybe questionable, but his body language was showing arms down and deep breathing.

The punch had some power from springing forward, but probably was more the right spot on a gassed fighter.

Probably why the referee didn't bother finishing the count. Save the fighter from damage if he can't defend himself. Excellent stoppage that you rarely see in western combat sports.

Any suspicion of a dive from the bettors/judges/refs?

good showing by Superbank. had some good actions.

Muangthai vs Petu-Thong and Sangmanee vs Thananchai today at Raja. Love the Muangthai-Petu-Thong fight and Sangmanee vs Thananchai is always good, especially now with Sangmanee hitting his stride again.

Diesellek returned just now to start a new Isuzu tournament on channel 3. Won a decision. The bowl cut is gone!

Youssef Boughanem put on his best performance ever and KO'd Rungravee PKSaenchai on the same show to win the Omnoi 160 pound title. Honestly, it was one of the best performances I've seen from someome who wasn't Thai. Seriosuly. The KO didn't come from spamming stuff or winging, but he got the better of a good Thai by fighting Muay Thai. If Yod or Sitthichai jumped to 160 I'm not sure they beat this version of Youssef. Let's see if he can keep it going.

Rungravee PKSaenchai is one of the best fighters and one of my favorites! Too bad he got knocked out! He needs a rematch with Youssef Boughanem!

I'm up in Buriram training at Sitboonmee for a month. Apparently Kongsak is fighting Petboonchu on the 27th.

Sangmanee beat Thananchai on points and Muangthai knocked out PetU-Thong, with of course an elbow. Have to wait til SMMTV or muaydeetsport posts the fights because Timo wasn't there.
