Rak vs Yodnumchai will be interesting. I love how rational the OFF matchmaking is, the progression to it, with Yod the same as it was with Puengluang, they get 4/5 good wins firstly at lower level, then Yod was given Tubthimthong as a little step up, Pueng had Juan Felipe and Seksan Fairtex then they gave him jaosuyai. Yod's now been given/fed to Rak, to see if he can operate at a higher level.
the more i watch Yod, the more (in OFF at least) he looks like a straight right hand with legs and arms. Seems like nearly all his effective work is with that right hand, despite being a taller fighter at the weight he hasn't done much with the kicking game (albeit he has had a couple of pretty quick KO's so not much time to being the full arsenal). He's excellent at finding ways to land the right hand though, with the big step-in 1-2, or he is brilliant with a half-step back or a pullback counter, his timing and distancing with it is excellent. I also noticed in the last fight with Tub, he likes to step back into southpaw and bring his opponent onto a counter left elbow- watch for that, if he switches he is absolutely looking for that shot, seems to look for it if his opponent backs him towards the ropes, he invites them in and bangs the left elbow. He's not much for body punching though, or left hooks, or uppercuts. or kicks or knees really. like i say he just seems like a straight right hands with legs and arms
Rak is a bit shorter but he has shown a lot more work with the legs, really snaps out the leg kicks and body kicks, nice light footwork just hovering in and out of distance, he has shown a much broader diversity of weapons in OFF than Yod has and both in One and outside has mixed at a higher level. I'd look for him to stay outside, sting the legs and work his more diverse offence from range and possibly even see if he can draw Yod onto power shots
I've got to go with Rak on this one on experience and versatility but even if Yod is a one-trick pony so far he has been very good at pulling that trick over and over again.
will be interesting to see if the extremely tough experienced Petnamngam stands up to the so-far devastating hands of Chartpayayak
Demirkapu has a KO win over Buakhiao so I am wondering if Kongklai's kryptonite applies here again
