There's been something like 45-50 of these since late September. 5-7 events a week, ~6 fights per event, Monday-Tuesday usually off days. All at the new purpose-built Kunlun venue in Tongling where a couple of the last numbered events have also been held.

Gyms/teams from 16 different Chinese cities.
Fights at 52.5kg (women)/61.5kg/66kg/70kg/75kg/80kg

Every event gets decent posters and they also do short break down of the fights, in Chinese anyway.

thats how you dig for new talented fighters, i think we will see some new chinese elite kickboxers in the next year or 2020, cool move by kunlun.

They're currently in a qualifying stage of sorts, 3 best teams from both groups of 8 teams get through to the next season, or I guess what's the actual start for the league. The bottom 10 teams have to qualify by beating 10 new teams trying in for the league.

Mostly new young Chinese pro fighters, but also a bunch of Thai's and Russians/Belarussians/Iranians etc.

The venue probably fits 1000-1200 people or something around that and attendance has seemed to be pretty good so far too. The fights are, or at least were, also broadcast on late night tv. Hopefully is sustainable for them.

yeah, but it is aimed to do well Imo, not only for the promotion but also for the sport who needs more internal competition to develop world level guys

Also backing up events with majority of chineses and known nations by the audience is good, you didnt have to pay well for C-B classes young guys and you have good chances on finding promissing guys with legit talent

China built a giant kickboxing plataform( by kickboxing standards, or even not, clowns like Yi Long made Number 1 in audience for inumerous times on all chinese TV)

WLF, GOH, Kunlun, Emei and other promotions have money to pull it, building and digging for new talents is all they need now to have future stars of the sport to held people interest on fighters of their own nation.

most of the foreigners,no matter how good they are like Allazov, Sitthichai(pre Yi long fight) and other guys are not big draws compared to foreigners that could sucessfully stablish in the country sports scene and even reaching the casuals like Buakaw,Kyshenko and Simon marcus at some degree, they need the chinese new potential Stars.

Now if only we could have something like that in the US maybe we could have some decent Kickboxers at some point in the next decade...

Glory should at least start sponsoring small local events even if they don't promote them to provide some kind of unity and structure.
