Is Conor the real deal or will he become the new Brandon Vera?
Conor has already proved he is better than Vera.
Enlighten us, please.
go watch some fights, it might help.
He is the old Vera, Vera was the new Conor
He's already better than Vera. Poirer is a better win then broke leg Mir
i think conor may be suffering from brandon vera syndrome.
Watch McGregor vs Brimage.
McGregor vs Holloway.
McGregor vs Brandao.
McGregor vs Poirier.
Come back and edit your post when you're done.
Enlightened Meter not rising...
Forgive me...I have failed to realize that 1 fight vs. 1 Top Ten opponent automatically catapults you to unprecedented heights within the sport.
Again, forgive me.
Is that the syndrome where you look fat and skinny at the same time?
Why is Ross Pearson being mentioned in this thread?
Know your fighter nicknames.
So I take it you didn't watch the fights and continue to talk about opinions that aren't justified. Best of luck, hope you don't gamble too much on MMA. :icon_lol:
They both get style points, but: Justin Eilers, Assuerio Silva, Mir (at that point in his life). That's low level competition. Brando is actually a really good fighter, Hollaway is rising fast, and Porieir is nearly elite.
Actually it's a pretty fair comparison. Connor is in the same place as Vera was after the Mir fight. I don't think Connor is going to have the same sharp decline that Vera experienced after that, however.
Oh, I saw the fights...and I saw plenty of openings were Siver can capitalize...
I regularly bet on MMA...win some, lose some...judging by your username/avatar, it's safe to say that part-time job at Quizno's doesn't leave much in your Spiderman Velcro Wallet for placing bets.
The HW division was a much different landscape than the current FW, but Eilers had just fought for a title and they were trying their hardest to push Mir back up to a title fight to unify the titles. Plus Vera was probably the smallest guy in the division at the time.
real deal holyfield
