A lot of people in here are reading into Jon Jones' performance way too much. The guy was coming off the longest layoff of his career, he was fighting a far different fighter than he had trained for and he was just playing it safe. Wait until the DC fight to decide whether or not Jones could make it at HW. The guy has never taken a fight on short notice and just went with it. I think the whole thing was a lot for him to deal with psychologically.
That being said, without fighting anywhere close to his potential, he dominated a guy who is a legit top 10 LHW. As far as Jones being even more out sized and not able to use his reach at HW goes, not one HW in the top 15 has a longer reach than OSP. So if Jones put on the weight as muscle and didn't let it slow him down, he would have a huge speed, reach and skill advantage over most if not all of the division. DC took down most of those guys with ease and Jones has proved he is a better wrestler than DC.
Last night Jones had OSP in positions he would usually finish people in multiple times but didn't pull the trigger. He didn't pull the trigger on that americana, he didn't pull the trigger on that ground and pound and he didn't pull the trigger on any of the most devastating stand up he has. Now he gets one more camp and gets to fight the guy he has been planning for, for what will be a year and a half by the time they fight. So again reserve your judgements until after the greatest of all time decimates DC.
