RDA's transformation into a superb striker reminds me of Duane Ludwig's impact on TAM

I can't believe what we're seeing in the first 2 rounds.

RDA is schooling Pettis on the feet, and his trainer deserves a ton of credit.

I'm fucking loving this. I dislike Pettis and always said he was overrated. He's good, but not great - lucky, flashy, confident, and good at capitalizing - but not great.

I want some of the stuff that you're on.

I don't think Pettis is overrated. He's got elite striking coupled with great finishing ability from any position.

RDA has eaten some hard direct shots and shrugged them off. Honestly, it's scary.

What would be interesting is to see whether RDA's improved game is enough to meaningfully threaten Eagle if they re-match. That was a one-sided grappling clinic by Khabib.

Weed, beer, and positivity my friend. That last post goes out to EVERYONE who ever said Pettis could beat Aldo. I give him props, he's good, but not as great as he and his Wheaties eating fanboys thought he was.

I knew Dos Anjos would have the grappling/wrestling advantage but damn, he improved a lot on the feet and looked really good, following a strategy in every single moment of the fight

Why do you think he couldn't beat Aldo? RDA and Aldo are completely different fighters...

Because Aldo is P4P number one, and future goat in the making. Aldo would wreck Pettis. On the feet, on the ground, everywhere.

We need a statue of Cordeiro here in Brazil the man has trained so many of our champions

Maybe RDA will get his picture on a Wheaties box?

But matchups make fights... just because RDA can do that doesn't mean Aldo can.

I just remember BJ Penn/Ludwig ...

LOL

Just because RDS beat Pettis doesn't mean Aldo won't, either. Such a weird thing to say. Aldo would wreck Pettis, that's my personal opinion. If you don't like it, you can eat it with your Wheaties.

I'm just saying that this fight doesn't indicate that Aldo would beat Pettis. You're doing some MMAth.

We've seen RDA run the non stop pressure gameplan many times before like in his win over Cowboy.

Aldo primarily counter strikes or boxes at range.

Aldo/Pettis would be completely different from RDA/Pettis

Dos Anjos has always been a great striker... His fight with Rob Emerson was won purely off of his striking. He was also very effective against Dunham standing up as well.

It's also pretty funny that Aldo's name was brought up, because when I was watching Aldo/Faber in the WEC, the first thing that came to my mind was how Dos Anjos was kicking the shit out of Emerson's leg in their bout.

Don't know why, I didn't like him, but, man, he surely deserves a lot of respect. What he's done to Werdum and RDA is nothing short of extraordinary.

Not to mention the old school guys, of course. Did he mentor Anderson too?

i'm not suggesting that you go gothrough my post history or anything, but I have been saying aldo would beat Pettis for years. That statement has nothing to do with RDA, but RDA reminding people how mortal Pettis is helps to shed some light on my point of view.
