That's actually a very interesting match up. My fist thought is Kelvin, but RDA has looked good. Props to TS, good call.

Great matchup. they are both some of my fav fighters to watch.

i think kelvin catches rda with a highlight reel 1-2. it would be a very fun fight, rda could certainly grind him to a decision, but i just think kelvin might be too strong for him on the clinch.

doubt kelvin returns to ww tho, especially if he beats jacare. man likes to eat.

I think Gastelum has the potential to beat any welterweight on the roster if he could make the weight, the guy came super close to knocking out the much larger Chris Weidman at middleweight. His only losses at welterweight were against Magny and Woodley and both were super close split decisions. I said it since he beat Uriah Hall on the ultimate fighter at middleweight that this guy has the ability to be the welterweight champion some day.

Would be an awesome fight to see. Without the range and speed of a guy like ferguson, I can't imagine gastelum, even a trim, fast, 171 pound gastelum having consistent success striking. RDA is such a fuckin technician, damn he's awesome. I doubt either could take the other down. I think you have to favor the ex-champ but only slightly. That'd be sick though, definitely.

Gastelum actually having the reach advantage only makes him more dangerous. Except Kelvin has proven he cant keep his hands off the junk food and weightcutting only gets more difficult as you get older
